"Oh? I thought it was so impressive figure who could make Sister Liu voluntarily leave Jiaxing Entertainnt. Turns out it's just a big hero who saves people!"

The man appeared to be around forty years old, dressed in an impeccable suit and leather shoes, but his words carried an uncomfortable tone.

Xiao He slightly raised an eyebrow.

Liu Rulan also withdrew her previous smile: "I was wondering who would take over my work next. So it's you after all."

Tian Heng, one of Jiaxing Entertainnt's top agents and Liu Rulan's longti rival, always created a tense atmosphere whenever they t.

Tian Heng chuckled lightly: "You really haven't changed after all these years - still so impulsive, leaving without even a word."

"Normal job transition, no need to make a public announcent, right?" Liu Rulan sneered, "But as for certain people, let give so advice - be careful when reaching for gold bricks, you might just grab shit instead."

Xiao He: "Pfft—"

Sister Liu really had a way with sarcastic remarks.

And this was killing two birds with one stone.

Tian Heng didn't get angry though, just gave Xiao He an ambiguous look before saying to Liu Rulan: "Well then, I hope you and your gold brick have a prosperous future together."

Then he took his assistant and, just like Liu Rulan had done, began distributing drinks and snacks to the crew mbers.

This display seed like he intended to confront Liu Rulan head-on.

Xiao He asked Liu Rulan: "Sister Liu, are you okay? Is there anything I should do?"

Liu Rulan glanced at him: "What could possibly be wrong with ? I terminated my contract with Jiaxing amicably. That Tian Heng guy is just naturally narrow-minded. You just focus on filming your scenes properly."

Xiao He: "...Alright."

Not long after Tian Heng left, producer Ma Qianyou ca over to inform them: "This afternoon there will be fans visiting the set. Please make preparations in advance."

Xiao He frowned.

Fan visit? He hadn't received any prior notification about this!

Liu Rulan also raised her eyebrows, looking at Ma Qianyou: "Fan visit? When was this arranged? We didn't receive any notice."

Ma Qianyou looked sowhat surprised: "We sent soone to notify you yesterday."

Liu Rulan glanced at Xiao He, who shook his head slightly.

Having figured out the situation, Liu Rulan didn't say anything directly but instead smiled and nodded at Ma Qianyou: "Okay, we understand. Thank you for the reminder, Producer Ma."

Ma Qianyou scanned both of them, probably guessing that soone had interfered, but as long as this didn't affect their production's interests, he wouldn't actively get involved. He simply pretended to know nothing and turned to leave.

Once Ma Qianyou was gone, Liu Rulan asked Xiao He: "Are you sure no one notified you about this?"

Xiao He specifically took out his phone to check group ssages, then shook his head: "No one notified , and there's no announcent in the group either."

Liu Rulan snorted coldly: "They only know how to play these petty tricks."

She turned around and picked up the script beside Xiao He: "What scenes are you filming this afternoon?"

Xiao He thought for a mont before answering: "It's the scene where ng Zetian arrests Bai Mingchuan."

"Case solved then."

Liu Rulan quickly skimd through the script, her expression calm: "The fans will mostly be watching this scene of yours. This script involves both kicking and fighting. If you perform well, they'll definitely put you on trending blacklists. But if you perform poorly, they can still get you trending."

Xiao He stared in astonishnt: "Huh? It can work like that?"

Liu Rulan looked at him as if it were obvious: "This is the entertainnt industry where even professionalism becos a selling point and viral material. If soone's willing to get you trending a few tis, they're actually showing you respect - at least they're spending money on you."

Xiao He: "..."

Well, well, well, if they're willing to put thought into scheming against , that's at least sothing.

"Then should we ask the director to change this afternoon's filming schedule?"

"That's definitely not possible. These filming plans are arranged well in advance. If you dare to change it, they'll imdiately put you on trending topics."

Xiao He: "..."

Really? Is it that exaggerated?

Xiao He didn't understand, was greatly shocked, and humbly sought advice: "Then what should we do?"

"What can we do? Just act normally, and leave the rest to to handle."

Manager Liu tugged at the corner of her mouth almost imperceptibly, her eyes looking even more fierce than Xiao He's.

"These little tricks are all things I've played with and moved past long ago."

Xiao He silently averted his gaze.

For so reason, he felt like Sister Liu was emanating dense resentnt... Ahem, lighting a candle for those people over there.

-

On the other side, just as Liu Rulan had guessed, Tian Heng returned to Su Shengxi's side and earnestly instructed: "I've already prepared everything for this afternoon's matter. You just focus on acting properly, don't do anything unnecessary."

Su Shengxi nodded: "I understand. It's just that Sister Liu's side—"

"Hmph—" Tian Heng snorted coldly, "What? Still concerned about your old agent?"

"Of course not." Su Shengxi sneered, "I just want to tell you that she's not soone to be trifled with. Since you've co to be my agent, you must be more capable than her and won't involve , right?"

"Naturally."

Tian Heng crossed his arms, a cold glint flashing in his eyes: "You know Tong Junhui, right? When he withdrew from the industry back then, I was half responsible for it."

"Tong Junhui? That award-winning actor Sister Liu used to represent?" Su Shengxi paused, looking his new agent up and down, "You did that?"

Tian Heng thought about what happened back then and pressed his lips together: "Well, it wasn't sothing I could accomplish alone, but... alright, let's not talk about this. My point is, you can rest assured. Liu Rulan is no match for ."

Su Shengxi stared at Tian Heng, remaining silent for a long ti before finally looking away: "Understood."

...

That afternoon, the fans began their set visit.

As a production gathering top idol Su Shengxi and popular young actress Yi Man'er, this drama was destined to create stormy controversies from the mont filming began.

Those visiting the set were basically all fans of Su Shengxi and Yi Man'er.

However, as the fourth male lead, Xiao He still needed to join in receiving the fans. He had ntally prepared himself to play a supporting role.

But unexpectedly, among this group of visitors, there were actually several fans who had specifically co to see him.

When he saw fans actively approaching him for photos and autographs, Xiao He was montarily stunned.

"Hello, Xiao He! We're all your fans! We absolutely love your portrayal of Mu Ze! And your life-saving action on New Year's Day was super cool too!"

One particularly well-dressed young girl in a floral print dress looked at Xiao He with bright, expectant eyes: "Can we take a photo together?"

"O-of course—"

Xiao He stamred for a mont before imdiately switching into professional mode, bending down to take a selfie with the young girl.

There were five fans who had specifically co to see Xiao He, all very young girls - the oldest twenty-three, the youngest seventeen. Xiao He was quite curious about how they learned about this set visit, since he himself had only found out about it that morning...

After fulfilling all five girls' fan service requests, Xiao He curiously asked: "How did you all find out about this set visit?"

"Actually, the news spread from Su Shengxi's fan group," one girl wearing a white furry hair clip said sowhat sheepishly. "It just happened that we're all in Shanghai and are all your fans, Brother Xiao, so we ford a small group and ca along with Su Shengxi's fans."

Xiao He understood now, then chuckled lightly and said sincerely: "I really want to thank you all for specifically coming to see . I'm genuinely super happy. I originally thought no one would co for ."

"Of course not, Brother Xiao! You're super popular right now! Many people in the fan group want to co see you!" one girl exclaid loudly. "But because this set visit notice was too last-minute, many people couldn't arrange ti, so they sent us as representatives to see you, Brother Xiao!"

"Really?" Xiao He still found it sowhat hard to believe that he already had so many people who genuinely liked him. "You don't think I'm too fierce, like a bad person?"

Ever since acquiring that dark aura, everyone's first impression of him hadn't been great. It usually took gradual contact for people to change their views.

But these fans had never t the real him, never conversed with him - how could they be willing to so sincerely like a complete stranger?
