Charles forced his head up and stared at Alex, before dropping it back down, and sneered bitterly.
"Yeah right. Do you really expect to believe that you can magically bring back my powers? And let’s say you could, do you think I’ll believe that you of all people will really help ? No! So stop ssing with kid. Just kill and get it over with."
Alex looked down at the broken man and sighed. There was no use convincing him with only words, he’ll just have to show so proof.

A beautifully crafted bottle the size of a teacup appeared in Alex’s hand. He looked at the doubtful English man’s gaze and decided to prove its absolute authenticity on himself so that the man would believe him.
He reached down and picked up the discarded dagger from the floor. Then pressing the tip against his arm, he applied a bit of force, attempting to cut himself.
But at that mont, the steel blade that had always been easily able to cut through anything snapped in half against his skin, leaving nothing more than a faint barely noticeable bruise in its wake.
Alex glanced at his arm in shock. So at C Rank one’s durability reaches the level of easily breaking steel knives. Good!
But then realizing that the dagger could no longer do the trick, he abandoned it and quickly conjured a sharp shard of Deathfrost Bloom. Since it was able to kill the Chinese man before, then it should be able to work, right?
Gritting his teeth, Alex stabbed it into his own arm right in front of the English man, drawing a thin line of fresh blood.
Then right in front of Charles bewildered eyes, Alex uncorked the small bottle and tilted it, letting a single, sparkling drop of the translucent liquid fall directly onto the fresh wound.
The mont the liquid touched his skin, the bleeding stopped instantly. Right after, the flesh began to wiggle actively. After a second or two, the injury disappeared completely, leaving his skin as good as new.
"See, I can completely heal you with this," Alex said, swirling the remaining liquid inside the bottle. "This is one of my abilities. With it I can make you as good as new... But before I heal you I need you to answer my questions. Do we have a deal?"
Looking at the pristine tender skin on Alex’s arm devoid of any injury, the final remnants of doubt completely vanished from Charles’s mind. The desire to finally regain his ability overca any sense of loyalty he might have had.
"We have a deal."
"Good, now we’re talking. First of all, who is your boss? I want to know all about him, and why exactly he targeted Nyx in particular?"
"The boss... the one who sent us... Sigh. His full na is Lee Joon woo. A powerful half Korean, half Russian business tycoon, who on the surface runs a massive conglorate that is widely known as one of the richest, most influential businesses in the entire country."
Charles laughed bitterly.
"But underneath all that, he is actually one of the three supre leaders who controls a massive, terrifying secret underground organization based here in South Korea."
"From high profile assassination work, to human trafficking to illegal experintation, to drug trafficking. Everything inhumane that you can’t even begin to think of happens in that organization."

Charles stopped to catch his breath, before continuing.
"We complete various assassination and kidnapping works based strictly on the designated grade of the target we’re to handle.
Grade C contracts require a minimum of five million dollars where highly trained human assassins are sent to handle the target.
Grade B contracts require a minimum of fifty million dollars which is a safety net used in case a Grade C squad fails to contain the situation. That is the squad where people like fall under.
Grade A contracts require a minimum of at least three hundred million dollars to execute a target that A Grade B squad fails to handle. This grade is where people of your strength level exist.
Grade S contracts require a minimum starting fee of one billion dollars. Those missions are strictly reserved to eliminate targets that a standard Grade A squad cannot handle. They are the strongest group of people in the entire organization."
A flash of surprise passed through Alex’s eyes. So from what he was hearing, Grade C were basically human assassins. Grade B were Early Realm Assassins. Grade A were Vanguard Realm Assassins, and finally, Grade S were Ascendant Realm Assassins.
For them to have this much amount of Awakeneds proved that they were truly a powerful organization and not just so small cri group. As for their mode of killing, it was just too ticulous and expensive.
However he quickly regained his composure and asked the question that really mattered.
"Why target Nyx of all people?"
Charles laughed.
"Because the boss beca obsessed with her the second he first saw her."
He glanced toward the beautiful woman leaning against the wall.
"At first I thought the boss was finally beginning to turn crazy, but the instant I saw her photo that the Boss had, had one of his people secretly take, I began to understand why. Honestly I won’t lie, I’ve seen countless beauties throughout my life. From supermodels, to actresses to sexy nurses, to beauty queens, to exotic beauties and I’ll tell you one thing. They all seem to pale in comparison to her. Just looking at her face feels like looking at heaven..."

The mont Charles finished speaking, a look of genuine shock flashed across Alex’s face. Even soone like him hadn’t expected sothing on that scale.
From the very beginning, Nyx’s trip to South Korea had never been sothing as simple as a business collaboration. It had all been part of a carefully elaborated sche.
A trap designed by a perverted man who had spent months positioning pieces on a board just to lure a single woman into his territory. The realization sent a chill down Alex’s spine.
If Charles was telling the truth, then this situation was far bigger than he had originally assud. If he were in A Rank now, then maybe he wouldn’t have been as worried as how he is now.
However, before he could continue thinking, the faint sll of fresh blood suddenly drifted into his nose. Alex imdiately turned his head back, and the sight alone made his face change.
Nyx was leaning on the wall, trembling violently, with her face and neck drenched in sweat. Her beautiful amber eyes were turning unfocused by each passing second.
Most alarming of all, her fists were clenched so tightly that blood was slowly dripping down to the ground. She was reaching her limit. The damn drugs were winning.
A curse escaped Alex’s lips.
"Dammit."
Without another second of hesitation, he rushed toward her. The instant he reached her side, her body imdiately leaned against him. Her breathing was worse than before and her soft skin was frighteningly hot.
Alex imdiately wrapped an arm around her waist and lifted her into his arm carefully. He needed to get her out of here, now!
Behind him, Charles’s expression changed.
"Hey, wait! What about our deal? You promised! Aren’t you going to fulfill your side of the bargain?"
Alex paused before glancing back over his shoulder with a cold smirk on his handso face.
"About that... I lied."
Before anybody could even react, two shards of Deathfrost Bloom shot out from Alex’s hands and accurately t the forehead of both Charles and Kim, destroying their brains and killing them before they could even register the betrayal.
...After sending the bottle of Body Recovery Water to his spatial storage space, and making sure that there was no evidence pointing directly toward him, he tightened his grip on the restless woman in his arms and shot out of the alleyway with full speed like a bolt of lightning.
