Alex frowned slightly and shifted his position on the bed as his brows drew closer in confusion.
"And how exactly am I unique?"
There was a brief pause, as if the system was choosing its words carefully for once, which in itself already felt super suspicious.

Alex stared at the ceiling, letting the words sink in.
"So you’re saying I’m not one of them... But I can still fight them?"
The chibi instantly nodded her tiny head in agreent.

"Yeah, lucky ," Alex muttered dryly.
So from what the system just said, then he wasn’t even an awakened in the usual sense, he was just a guy that happened to get a wicked... But pretty helpful system. Well guess he was really lucky... Still there was that little part of him that was bumd out that he wasn’t an awakened.
His eyes imdiately shot up, as he thought of sothing.
"If I don’t have a core and I can’t absorb this primordial stuff, then doesn’t that put at an advantage against others awakened? Like the only reason I even failed against that baby faced girl was because she severely underestimated , hell she’s just a newly awakened individual, but her punch was able to cause a freaking dent in a concrete wall... Basically what I an is that if their strength grows with that primordial whatever, and I don’t have it... Won’t I fall behind eventually even with constant training?"

Alex snorted

Alex exhaled softly while running a hand through his tousled black hair. The idea that he could grow stronger in a completely different way from everyone else was both exciting and unsettling at the sa ti. Since he could grow stronger with desire energy, then his speed of leveling up was much faster than the conventional thod of awakeneds, plus while an awakened could only have one ability, he could copy infinite abilities... Though only from female awakened.
"So anything you want to know more about, like their weakness?"
[They don’t really have a weakness per se, but what counts as a weakness is... when their body runs out of primordial essence, leaving them weak... That’s all I know for now. Now stop asking questions and go get so sleep. You just got back from an intense training session, so you really need rest]
Alex sighed and agreed with the system, he had just gotten from that high intensity training and his mind still felt exhausted, even after taking the body recovery water, so so shut eyes would really be appreciated.
So with a yawn, Alex sunk deeper into the mattress as the fatigue he had been so desperately ignoring, finally began to catch up on him. The mont he closed his eyes, the tiredness instantly took over him, making him doze off without a single care in the world.

"Shit! I’m so late, Nyx is going to kill !" Alex exclaid while scrambling across the room. He nearly tripped over his own feet as he yanked a sock over his right foot.
He had really overslept, and by the ti he woke up, it was already nine-thirty a.m. with the eting starting in thirty minutes. He couldn’t help but lant the fate that awaited him if he managed to co late. Nyx would literally unalive him. But the worst part was; it wasn’t entirely his fault... Or maybe it was. It was all that damn alarm’s fault. The stupid thing didn’t ring when he needed it the most.
After finally putting the damn socks on, he reached for one of his decent pairs of shoes in the house, but almost tripped himself in the process, again. His movents were too rushed, uncoordinated and just a little desperate as the reality of the situation settled heavily on his shoulders. Nyx was not the person who would buy his flimsy excuse of the alarm not working. But what made him hurry even faster was the fact that he might arrive late as the major shareholder on his very first company board eting, which would definitely leave a bad impression on the other shareholder.
The last thing he wanted to have was a group of snobbish old people getting on his nerves, about how he was late, or how soone like him managed to beco the largest shareholder?
"Why did it have to be today of all days... Couldn’t the stupid alarm have broken during sothing like the weekend." He muttered as he grabbed his shirt from the bed and pulled it over his head in one swift motion, barely fixing it properly before he reached for his jacket. His hair was still wet, and his face still slightly groggy from the sleep he hadn’t even fully enjoyed to his satisfaction.
Still, if there was one good thing about this morning, it was the fact that the system hadn’t mocked or teased him yet... But it looked like he spoke too soon.
[You really do look like a ss... Though I won’t tease you about it since you’re already running late]
Alex almost had the urge to thank the heavens, finally the system didn’t tease him. He grabbed his phone to check how much ti he had left and cursed out loud. It was already nine-thirty five a.m.
So without wasting another precious second, he rushed out of his room, nearly breaking the door in the process and sprinted down the stairs, while fumbling with the stupid knot of his tie. The damn thing was really starting to get on his nerves.
As Alex took the last few steps, two at a ti. He nearly slipped as his foot hit the polished floor at the bottom, but thanks to his slightly faster than normal reflexes, he quickly steadied himself by placing his hands against the wall and kept moving without slowing down. His mind was already racing with various thoughts, like how bad the situation was going to be by the ti he arrived, looking like soone who had just hurriedly crawled out of bed.
... inside the taxi that he was lucky to find in ti, Alex kept on checking the ti that was now showing nine-forty four a.m. He calculated that with the speed the taxi was currently moving at... There was a huge chance that he would be able to make it in ti. At least that small discovery seed to bring his high blood pressure down... But then a new foreign feeling instantly flooded his heart.
He couldn’t quite explain this strange feeling. It felt like sothing sharp was squeezing a part of his soul. Soon the feeling seed to grow stronger by the minute.
[Wow we are almost ther— Wait! have you been feeling that this whole ti or did it just start now?]
Alex raised his brow in suspicion, he wondered why the system was asking him that question when it was just a bad feeling or could it be sothing worse?
’I just started feeling it not too long from now? But why do you sound so serious?’
[That feeling is like how do I put this... It’s the warning sense you get when your won are in danger. Since both Nyx and Olivia are in your harem slot, they’ve been bonded to you on a deeper level, so you can actually feel when they are in danger. Now you getting this exact feeling ans that one of them is in a really dangerous situation, right now]
