There were not many Guilds in the Sanctuary World.
As a result, the annual recruitnt competition that Wolf Fang’s, one of these Guilds, held was a huge event in the Sanctuary World.
In addition, due to the Sanctuary resources that races were fighting for, this event had beco even more popular than before.
However, its Guild Residence was far from enough to accommodate the massive number of cultivators participating in this year’s assessnt. Fortunately, Wolf Fang’s had thought of a plan to deal with this problem; it would host the audition in the King Colosseum.
In every country on Earth, a Colosseum was set up for arenas, tournants, and all kinds of events related to cultivators, to see who was stronger, who had potential, and all the related details.
Only, unlike on Earth, Dragon City’s King Colosseum had been constructed in the sky above the Inner City. However, the building had an ethereal form, as if it existed in a different realm.
"The audition’s requirents are intense this year. They require participants to reach the Trial Tower’s sixth floor. I only reached the fifth floor the last ti I challenged the trial. I wonder if I can pass the fifth floor this ti?"
"I know, right? This requirent is too high. The most powerful cultivator in my city has only reached the sixth floor! Wolf Fang’s is not giving us a fair chance!"
As they arrived, cultivators began to complain upon reading Wolf Fang’s requirents.
This Trial Tower was a construction the Sanctuary had for every race in order to improve, get used to combat, test their prowess, and anything else they wished to test.
A cultivator’s realm and gear did not matter in the King Colosseum’s Trial Tower. Only their techniques mattered. However, the Trial Tower itself was the most damning aspect, as each attempt to challenge its floors cost one Spirit Stone.
Spirit Stones had always been a rare commodity in the Sanctuary, which was why gold was still used the majority of the ti. Ordinary cultivators had an extrely difficult ti obtaining even ten. Even expert cultivators would only have a few dozen on hand. In fact, that was the reason Moon took the mission, but Darius had no idea how precious Spirit Stones were yet, so he thought the reward was low.
Normally, cultivators used every Spirit Stone sparingly since, although their worth was equal to a hundred gold coins, their real worth was far greater than that, which was why the majority still used gold to trade. Yet, to prove their qualifications to take Wolf Fang’s test, they had to spend one Spirit Stone to challenge the Trial Tower. If, in the end, they failed to join Wolf Fang, they would have suffered a huge loss.
However, as the various cultivators fell into heated discussions, a young man caught their attention as he entered the main hall. Adoration and envy filled their eyes as they watched him.
This man was the host of this year’s recruitnt competition, Kevin. He was also an Adjudicator of Wolf Fang’s. In the low-tier guilds, he was considered a top-class expert. He was also the role model they dread of becoming.
While he had everyone’s attention, Kevin ran the participants through this year’s competition rules, after which he entered a VIP room on the second floor to watch the audition quietly.
"Kevin, quite a number of experts are participating in this year’s audition. As the competition’s host, you should take the opportunity to recruit more high-potential newcors. They might even beco powerful allies," a young woman sitting beside Kevin advised as she looked down at the crowd. She had discovered several experts among the participants. So of them had even reached the Half-Step Acupoint Realm. To independent cultivators, this was a very difficult feat.
There were many factions in every Guild due to the different investors involved. Hence, the Guild’s upper echelons paid a lot of attention to the recruitnt of fresh talent every year. It was also extrely difficult to obtain the rights to host the yearly auditions. Kevin had only obtained the honor after all sorts of negotiations and trades.
As the host, Kevin had the opportunity to rope in the participants he had set his sights on after the competition had begun. After the competition finished, he even had priority in choosing potential newcors. After undergoing special training, these newcors would quickly join the ranks of Wolf Fang’s experts; so might even beco core mbers. These people would be extrely useful to Wolf Fang’s in the future. Hence, he needed to consider his selections carefully.
"Relax. I’ve already investigated so of the powerful experts participating in the audition this year. I won’t let anyone else obtain a single potential newcor," Kevin laughed confidently. "If those old bastards knew that there were so many potential newcors, they would regret trading with ."
Before the Wolf Fang’s recruitnt competition had officially begun, he had already sent his subordinates to scout the participants and make a list of the experts taking part in the audition.
Among the nurous experts participating, eight had caught his attention.
Regarding either age or current strength, these eight people had earned an S-rank evaluation on his list.
In the past, three to five S-rank evaluations had been impressive. Now, there were a total of eight. Just thinking about it made Kevin rejoice. To beco this year’s audition host, he had paid a trendous price, even giving up his tablet slot and doing other under-the-table business.
However, securing all eight of these S-rank newcors would definitely be worth the sacrifice. After all, it would be the equivalent of hosting two auditions.
The people who had received an S-rank evaluation would go on to beco top-class experts in the Guild.
The woman beside Kevin, who was called Mira, had been one of these S-rank newcors. Now, she was one of the leading figures in Wolf Fang’s younger generation.
"Old bastards, just you wait and see. Sooner or later, Wolf Fang’s will belong to !" When Kevin thought about how much power he would gain after this event, and how he had also colluded with demons to weaken the other low-tier guilds, an indescribable joy blood in his heart.
It was true that he could not do anything about stronger guilds right now. However, the damage he had done to guilds of the sa level was already enough to keep him sleepless for three nights.
He was very aware that devastation would follow those demons wherever they went. He had sacrificed many people with no background to make such a deal, and it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that he had paid a hefty price to cause as much damage as possible.
Just as Kevin congratulated himself, he received a ssage. Upon reading this ssage, his expression darkened.
"Have these people gone mad?!" A bloody glint flashed in Kevin’s eyes. He wanted nothing more than to devour every guild mber alive.
