"Pa!"
Alex did not even manage to finish his words before seeing Harley fly towards him like an arrow shot from a bow, raising his hand and giving him a heavy slap.
Alex was slapped utterly stupid. Even Jordan and Sharley had vacant expressions, staring blankly. If Harley wanted to hit soone, then shouldn’t he be slapping Darius? Why had he suddenly slap Alex instead?
There must be so kind of mistake!
"Ma, Master!" Alex’s expression practically scread that he felt wronged. Why was he suddenly hit?
Under the three observers’ uncomprehending stares, Harley quickly raced to stand in front of Darius. Bowing, he lowered his head respectfully as if he were an obedient little lackey and said, "So the noble guest today was Young Master Darius. Please forgive my blindness for not managing to notice Young Master Darius just now."
Although he had suffered a great deal because of Darius, he had had no idea what his full na was...Gabriel naturally had no need to explain anything to him.
What? What?
The other three mbers of the Snowwell family all entered into "petrified" mode. Was this really the extrely arrogant, high and mighty Alchemist Harley from just monts ago? Why did they suddenly feel like he had beco a pug dog? Furthermore, why did he address the young man as ’Young Master Darius’?
Although Harley’s actual cultivation level could not be considered very high, he was an alchemist.
And an alchemist always commanded great respect and dignity!
The other three felt as if they had been petrified. They could not believe what they were seeing and hearing at all.
"This is your disciple? How overbearing!" Darius said, looking at Alex. His tone was extrely serene.’ Truly a good feeling, at this rate I might truly get addicted to this, please make it stop system.’
However, Harley was shocked half to death. Once more, he gave another solid slap to Alex and said, "Who do you think you are to actually be so impolite to Young Master Darius? I have no such disciple. From now onwards, do not address as your master."
Alex imdiately put on an expression of disbelief. Had he been chased out? Just because of one word from this kid called Darius?
He recalled that Darius had just told him that he would never beco an alchemist. Those words actually ca true!
"No, Master, please do not chase away, please give another chance!" Alex pleaded earnestly, quickly throwing himself to Harley’s feet.
He was not a cultivation genius, and had even lost the chance to enroll at Dragon City Academy. Thus, becoming an alchemist was his last chance. Otherwise, he would have to be just like his father and grandfather. The strongest he could beco would only be Qi Acupoint Realm, and he’d have a certain status only in the very small, very remote little city where he was raised.
"Get lost, you dared to be impolite to Young Master Darius! I was already being rciful by not killing you, and you actually fancy that you are going to be an alchemist?" Harley snorted. Even Gabriel, Grandmaster Gabriel, was extrely respectful when facing Darius. If he knew that Alex actually dared to take such an attitude towards Darius, he may even rush over here to kill this brat with his own hands!
And with one word from Grandmaster Gabriel, which alchemist in the whole of this region would dare to take Alex as a disciple?
Alex could not control the ashen expression on his face. He was dazed, looking as if he had lost his soul.
"Let’s go!" Sharley took hold of his grandson. He knew there was no use saying anything now...it was better for them to leave before they embarrass themselves further.
"No! I’m an alchemist’s apprentice. I will beco an alchemist in the future!" Alex struggled with all his might, as if he had gone mad. But Sharley held him tightly. Those still remaining in the private room could only hear the screams getting farther and farther away before they finally disappeared.
In the private room, Jordan looked dumbstruck, while Harley was drenched in cold sweat. He did not know if he had managed to soothe Darius’s anger. He really dared not offend this young master.
"Just now, you were quite fierce facing my friend," Darius said calmly, yet there was a strong dissatisfaction in his voice.
"Young Master Darius, I had no idea just now that the Snowwell family head was your friend. Otherwise, I would never dare to put on airs in front of Snowwell Family Head!" He spoke with a pained expression, "I deserve death, I really am worthless!"
’I wish nothing more than peace, is there a hole I can hide in?!’ He truly felt wronged. What sin did he make to deserve such horrible outcos two days in a row...
He strengthened his resolve and actually started to slap himself repeatedly!
Jordan was already completely numb.
He knew that his friend was of a good background now. But to actually be soone whom an alchemist would fawn over and painstakingly curry favor with... this still caused him to be incomparably shocked!
Before, Harley’s attitude was one full of arrogance, superiority and condescension. He had invited Harley repeatedly before the man finally agreed to co, and yet the first thing the latter did upon coming was to seek flaws and create problems. He had truly displayed the arrogance of an alchemist to the full extent.
But now... he really dared not believe that Harley would actually treat him with such respect and courtesy.
These few days that he was gone... what had actually happened to cause an alchemist to be afraid of a family? Did the world change this much in re days?!
It should be known that families who could Alchemists bend down were by no ans simple, but the young man was running an unknown Pavilion in a narrow alley. He might have a background , but what kind of background did it allow a Tier-1 Alchemist of the interdiate grade to beco a lackey in a matter of monts?
