Then Mater looked for information relating to the iron helt.
Spiritual items were categorized as ’relics’ in the Zakharov database. But not all relics were spiritual items.
Relics could be anything that had a supernatural aspect to them. They could be an item that was infused with spiritual energy like the iron helt, or Chaos Storages like the wooden fingers.
There were also relics that could be used in battle or had so sort of unique abilities.
The black cat then found the information about the iron helt.
[DD Helt]
[Description]: Full na is Demon’s Den Helt. An ancient iron helt of unknown origin. A demon is currently residing inside. It will possess anything that puts on the helt and takes over the host body.
[Threat level]: nace
"DD Helt? A demon is residing inside it?" The black cat owed. This thing wasn’t a spiritual item like he thought. It was so much more than that.
"Weird. I can’t detect any presence of a demon inside this helt. Perhaps what the Zakharovs called the demon might not actually be a demon."
The black cat put the helt on. His body was so small that he was entirely covered by the iron helt.
Imdiately, Chaos shot out from the helt and invaded Mater’s mind.
The black cat opened his eyes again to see an endless battle field with mountains of corpses and scattered weapons everywhere.
Mater knew this place.
In the far distance, a tall humanoid figure with white cloths wrapping around its skin. It wore an ancient suit of armor with the DD Helt on top.
The mummy knight held a large chipped sword. It raised its hand and aid at Mater.
"Fear!" It said.
"No fear here." Mater smirked.
The black cat enlarged and transford into a tall man with dark hair.
"I knew that there was no demon inside that helt. And I was right. You’re just a phantom."
Mater stepped forward. He was no longer in his cat form anymore but returned to his original human body.
He knew this place. This was his mind space. His psyche’s materialization. It had been a while since he ca back here. The last ti he entered his mind space was years ago, when that damn alchemist asked him for a favor.
"Huh?" The mummy knight looked dumbfounded. I didn’t understand why the target this ti didn’t even seem scared.
Mater knew its true nature. It was no demon. It was simply a phantom. A phantom was a variation of a hostile specter.
Wraith was a hostile specter. Phantom was a hostile specter. Both shared the sa origins but were two very different beings. While wraith focused more on the physical plane. The phantom rarely showed itself unless a condition was t.
Its power was also more ntally focused than wraith, which focused on affecting the physical reality more.
The Zakharovs didn’t know this and thought that the phantom was sothing entirely different. In their words, it was a demon. But it was actually just another specter.
Mater flicked his fingers. A giant shadow hand rose up against the soil and grabbed the mummy knight.
The mummy knight opened its mouth and scread like a dog on a leash. All of its prideful power was completely useless in front of Mater.
Mater’s physical body might be restricted. But his soul was intact. He was still a Rank 4 Warlock. This re Rank 1 Phantom couldn’t do anything.
"It is rare to see a phantom like you. A phantom is actually pretty compatible with the Abyssal Seal to be honest."
Mater tried to stroke his whiskers but there were none. He forgot that he was no longer a cat. This habit had really grown on him.
"But you are also a spiritual item that could be made into a Demonic Arsenal. I wonder..."
A phantom had no physical presence. Even if Mater turned it into a servant, it would still be restricted all the sa. But its existence was very unique. A pure ntal-based creature that could be combined with the power of the Psychic.
If only Mater could find a way to combine its power with Selina...
Mater released the mummy knight.
"Be a good boy for now. And don’t cause trouble." He said.
The mummy knight trembled in fear and nodded. Mater punched a hole through the sky, destroying this illusion completely.
The black cat opened its eyes. It was still inside the iron helt. But Chaos was no longer reaching out to him. They stayed inside the helt obediently.
Mater got out of the helt and patted it. "Good boy."
With that, Mater finished inspecting his new items. All three of the gemstones were consud by him. Selina held the mobile credits. The iron helt was a spiritual item with a phantom living inside.
"There is still a short ti left until school begins." Mater stroked his whiskers. It felt good having them back. "I need to raise all of my servants to level 10. I need quite a few more Chaos to do that."
Currently Mater had 18 Chaos Spheres inside him. He also had 5,000 Rank-1 Chaos Points in his Chaos Circuit. Unfortunately his own Chaos couldn’t be used to raise his servants level.
18 Spheres were only enough to raise 2 to 3 levels for one servant. Mater needed more than that.
"I also need to find sothing to pair with the iron helt for my new Demonic Item."
Mater had an idea about his second Item. It wasn’t an item for him to use specifically but for Psychics. An item that Selina also could use and it would enhance both her and the item.
The unique existence of the phantom was the reason why Mater had this idea. The ntal aspect of the phantom could coordinate with Psychic’s Psycho Force.
"Everything leads to more missions. Not a lot of good Bronze Bounties in Aeliz City. The reward would be lowered if we do Iron Bounties.
But Selina and I aren’t really that worried about money at the mont."
They just robbed poor Levy of his 2 million credit savings. It was enough for both the goth girl and the cat for quite a while.
In the end, the cat jumped back on the computer and went to the Bounty Hunting Site. Once again, it looked for any bounties within the Iron and Bronze Rank that might have so wraiths for it to farm.
