"Mrs. He, you look so beautiful."
The woman looked so happy and satisfied with her own work when she how beautiful Mo Roulan looked in the dress made by her.
It looked as if the dress was just made for her.
"Thank you."
Mo Roulan said calmly.
"Can we get done with the makeup, please? I want minimal makeup."
The woman nodded her head in understanding. With how beautiful Mo Roulan looked without makeup, she didn’t even feel any need to do it.
She was thinking of just applying suitable lipstick and eyeliner.
"Bring my cosmetics kit."
She told her subordinate who did so immediately.
After about fifteen minutes, Mo Roulan was pletely ready to go for the party. However, He Jian was still not there yet.
The woman had a wide smile on her lips. She felt very satisfied with her work and said
"Then I will take my leave, Mrs. He. I hope you liked our service."
Mo Roulan nodded her head and thanked politely.
After the woman left, Mo Roulan picked a paper and started to draw another design sitting on the bed.
She drew a beautiful jewelry design in those few minutes when He Jian was still not there.
"Are you ready?"
By the time she heard this voice, she was about to keep the pencil down.
Mo Roulan raised her head to look at He Jian. Even though she didn’t wish to, her gaze stayed on him for a moment longer.
He was wearing a black tuxedo which suited him quite well.
Seeing her eyes on himself, He Jian immediately felt delighted and straightened his body more.
Unfortunately, Mo Roulan looked away too soon.
"Yes"
She answered his question and put the paper inside her notebook. He Jian had glanced at the sketch and was immediately proud seeing how beautiful the design was.
He had heard from Chu Feng that Mo Roulan was a topper of her batch at the most popular university in New York.
He had wanted to make her the head of designing department but he knew that she might feel unfortable. It was the only reason that he stayed silent when his grandmother bought the pany which he wanted to buy.
As long as she was here, He Jian was sure that no one could bully his Lanlan.
"Let’s go then."
He said gently and Mo Roulan nodded her head again.
As they walked out of the mansion, He Jian was tempted to hold her hand. She looked so beautiful that he wanted to kiss her senselessly but he controlled himself.
He himself opened the gate of the car for her and covered the roof of the car considerately.
Mo Roulan paused amidst her actions for a moment as it reminded her of how He Jian used to drop her to the college and to her home so many times.
She shook away her thoughts and sat inside the car.
He Jian closed the door gently before he walked to the other side and sat inside the car.
"Start"
He told the driver.
The car started and both the people in the back seat didn’t say anything to each other. Mo Roulan scrolled through social media which she had not done in the past few days while He Jian glanced at her secretly from time to time while pretending as if he was reading emails on his phone.
They reached too soon that He Jian’s liking.
He was enjoying sitting this near Mo Roulan.
It was only at night he would be this close to her. Sometimes he would stay awake for a long time and just stare at her face.
After two years of staying away from each other, he felt that her presence around him was surreal. Sometimes, he would feel the urge to hug her in his arms tightly to ensure that she was really there.
But he would control himself.
It was difficult but to have her around him, even if he would need to trade his soul with devil, he would do so without any hesitation.
"Lets go"
He said and got out of the car.
He smiled when he saw that Mo Roulan didn’t get out of the car and waited for him to open the door. It was necessary since there were many reporters around and were constantly clicking pictures.
She was considerate enough to think about his family.
He Jian opened the door and forwarded his hand in front of her. When she placed her hand in his, he held it firmly and helped her out of the car.
She then placed her arm around his own and put a very polite smile on her lips.
Mo Roulan was pletely ready to pretend as if everything was fine between her and He Jian.
As soon as they started walking towards the entrance of the hall where party was kept, the reporters surrounded them.
"Sir, what would you like to say about your rushed marriage?"
One of them put microphone in front of Mo Roulan and asked enthusiastically while other was ready with the same kind of question for Mo Roulan.
Mo Roulan ignored them and let He Jian lead both of them.
Once they were inside the hall, Mo Roulan felt as if every pair of eyes were only on them. She kept an emotionless expression on her face.
The curious gazes didn’t make her nervous any longer because she didn’t want to get closer to any of them.
Before she sought an acceptance from their circle but now it bothered her no longer whether she was accepted between them or not.
She just wished to spend her six months here peacefully and then go back to her family after getting divorce from He Jian.
A man walked to He Jian as soon as he saw them.
"Young Master He, is she your wife?"
"Yes"
He Jian said coldly. He didn’t even bother to introduce the man to Mo Roulan. The man felt embarrassed and left soon.
"Let’s go to Dad."
He Jian said to Mo Roulan gently which was pletely different to how he had behaved with the man before.
Mo Roulan again nodded her head and both of them walked to He Zhuang after that.
He Zhuang was standing with a middle aged man and woman. They seemed to be a couple.
"Mr. Xeros, here is my son."
