Coco Edwards then rembered that Jane Sampson had gone straight to drama school after eting with Hibiscus Wood today, and she hadn’t had the ti to ask Jane if she had learned the reason behind Hibiscus Wood’s targeting of Mona Calm.
"You send their photo and na, and I’ll have soone look into it for you," Jas Black said.
"Alright, I’ll WhatsApp you right now," Jane Sampson said. After telling Jas that she was going to hang up, she waited for his acknowledgnt before ending the call.
Afterward, Jane Sampson went straight to the internet and searched for Mona Calm’s personal encyclopedia information. Since Mona was also an actor, there was bound to be information about her on the internet.
Jane Sampson took a few screenshots and sent them directly to Jas Black through WhatsApp.
It was at this ti that Coco, who was driving, couldn’t help but ask Jane, "Why are you suddenly thinking of looking into Mona Calm?
Jane Sampson thought for a mont, put away her phone, and started telling Coco about her visit to Hibiscus Wood and the words she had said.
"At first, when Hibiscus ntioned sothing about a snake, I was quite depressed, but when I was about to leave, Hibiscus suddenly asked if I’d ever heard of The Farr and the Snake. I always felt there was more to her words," Jane Sampson said.
It was because she felt there was a deeper aning behind Hibiscus Wood’s words, but Jane couldn’t figure out what Hibiscus was hinting at, which is why Jane thought to have Jas look into Mona Calm.
"It wouldn’t be as dramatic as what’s shown in movies, would it? Were Hibiscus Wood and Mona Calm really good friends before, and then Mona betrayed Hibiscus, leading to Hibiscus hating and targeting Mona? Could it be that we know only a person’s appearance and not their heart? Mona looks so young, innocent, and harmless; could she really be the kind of person who would betray a friend?" Coco said with a horrified face, "If that’s the case, then it’s really the drama of the year."
"What’s with that tone of enjoying the show?" Jane Sampson sighed. "Are you dumb? Hibiscus Wood and Mona Calm t on the first day of filming, and from what happened that day, it seed like it was their first eting. Do you forget, Mona greeted Hibiscus calling her ’Sister Hibiscus Wood,’ and, though Hibiscus’s response was cold, she still responded. Think about it, given Hibiscus’s character, if Mona had truly betrayed her earlier, Hibiscus would have found a way on the first day to kick Mona out of the film crew."
After Jane Sampson finished speaking, she glanced at her WhatsApp and saw that Jas Black hadn’t replied to her ssages yet. She then turned her attention back to the conversation with Coco.
"Think back, when did Hibiscus start targeting Mona?" Jane Sampson asked.
"It seems to have started the day after the mountain village incident," Coco replied and then had an epiphany, "You’re right, on the first day they even exchanged a greeting. Although Hibiscus was cold, it wasn’t just toward Mona; she was like that to anyone whose status was temporarily beneath hers."
"Besides, Hibiscus is quite tactful in dealing with people. Even if it’s a minor role, she may be cold but wouldn’t offend anyone. What’s more, during the first few days of filming, Hibiscus would have had more opportunities to bully Mona than these past few days, but Hibiscus didn’t target Mona on that first day."
