Looking down, she was instantly petrified.
Two, four, six... ten!
There were precisely ten boxes of mini umbrellas lying in the head of the bed cabinet!
Jane almost suspected that when Jas Black said he had so errands to run before breakfast, those so-called errands were to go out and buy these gadgets!
She knew it, she just knew it!
The mont she saw the supermarket bag, she knew that Jas couldn’t have just gone in to buy her so snacks and ingredients; this guy must have bought other stuff!
But, she hadn’t expected him to buy so many in one go!
One box with three, ten boxes...
Thirty tis!!!!
Jane shivered and bent down to scoop out the boxes, inspecting them from left to right. Not finding a trash can, she simply squatted down and dumped all the stuff in her arms under the bed!
When Jas ca out of the restroom, what he saw was Jane throwing the things he had just bought into the space under the bed.
Although her back was turned to him, Jas could still sense her flustered frustration.
Jas wasn’t in a rush, nor was he angry. He just leaned against the wall at the doorway, a smile hooking his lips as he watched her sit there dumbfounded on the floor after she had finished throwing, then he spoke unhurriedly.
"If you don’t want to use them, it’s fine by ," Jas said, "The consequence of not using them is just having an extra child around the house."
Jane sat there, swallowing hard, then slowly turned her head to look back at the person behind her.
She wore a sulky expression as if bearing a great injustice.
After Jas finished speaking, he stood there gently smiling at the person sitting on the ground, a smile that carried a aningful depth.
Jane didn’t know how to explain to Jas that it wasn’t the functionality of the mini umbrellas she despised—it was the quantity.
But...
Seeing Jas’s smile, which was in no way warm or friendly, Jane pursed her lips, turned back around, and lay on the floor, reaching under the bed to drag out one box at a ti of the items she had just discarded.
Hmmph!
She was not happy!
Jane gathered one box after another and tossed them back onto the head of the bed cabinet. After a while, she sat up straight, counting the boxes in the bedhead cabinet drawer, then leaned back down to the floor, her hands searching under the bed once more.
A few seconds later, she stood up again, scratching her head, turned around, and looked at Jas, pointing her slender fingers underneath the bed, pouting, and murmuring, "I can’t reach the last two boxes~"
Having said that, with a sowhat mischievous intent, she dusted off her hands and stood up straight, "So~ if I can’t reach them, we’ll just forget about them, okay?"
Did Jas not know what she was up to with her little ntal abacus clicking away?
"Get on the bed." Jas picked her up off the floor, bent down in the spot where Jane had been, and effortlessly picked up the remaining two boxes, placing them back in the head of the bed cabinet. Before closing it, he even took the ti to neatly arrange the stuff inside.
Jane sat cross-legged on the bed, her face held in a grimace.
After a while, she said very seriously, "Jas Black, you’ve changed."
Jas raised his eyes to glance at Jane, "Hmm?"
"You weren’t like this before!" Jane accused loudly, "You used to have great self-control! We could et once every three to five months before, and everything was fine with you. Why have you beco like this now! You’re nothing like you were before! Give back the old Jas Black!"
