Another soldier was much smarter and quickly realized, "Isn’t Jane Sampson the stage na of Minister Carter’s heiress? I’ve heard many artists have stage nas."
Father Carter burst out laughing upon hearing this, looked down at Jane Sampson, who stood next to him with red eyes, similar to a little rabbit, and asked, "Do she and I look that alike?"
It wasn’t that Father Carter suddenly took a fancy to tease these little warriors; rather, it wasn’t just one person who said he resembled Jane Sampson.
Because of his son, Jas Carter, Father Carter sotis paid attention to Jane Sampson’s whereabouts. Last ti he had just watched Jane Sampson on the TV when an old comrade in arms specifically called him, asking if he had sent his beloved daughter to beco an actor because the Jane Sampson on TV resembled him a bit.
That wasn’t all. Upon seeing news about Jas Carter and Jane Sampson together, Father Carter also had comrades asking him if Jane Sampson was his daughter-in-law, saying that she and his son looked particularly like a married couple, evidently, a pair ant to enter the sa household.
Father Carter was asked by several people and felt it was curious too.
"They don’t exactly look alike; it’s just at first glance, they seem sowhat similar, but upon closer inspection, not that much after all," said the soldier, scratching his head, "Does little Jane look more like your wife?"
"No, no, no." Jane Sampson quickly waved her hands and said, "I t Uncle Carter because of Mr. Carter; I’m not the daughter of Uncle Carter’s family."
Jane Sampson hurried to clarify for fear that these people might truly misunderstand.
"Mr. Carter?" The soldier was montarily confused. Who was that?
"My son," Father Carter responded with a chuckle, "So the Monkey King of Sampton you speak of is a good friend of my son. She has been a guest in our ho, so she knows her. But I am genuinely curious; why do you call her the Monkey King of Sampton? How did a little girl co to have that nickna?"
"Minister, you haven’t seen the variety show ’I’m Not a Celebrity’. Jane Sampson’s speed at climbing trees in the program; even we soldiers had to admire her. She zipped right up, nimble as a monkey. Hence, after the program was broadcast, everyone started calling her Monkey King of Sampton," the soldier explained apologetically, having misunderstood the relationship between the two, and then explained the origin of her nickna.
Father Carter was aware of the variety show ’I’m Not a Celebrity’, but due to his busy work schedule and lack of curiosity about such shows, he had never watched it.
"Hearing you say that, it seems I’ll have to check it out when I return," Father Carter said, then glanced down at the ti.
He had been finding topics to discuss with Jane Sampson all along, also as a way to soothe her. The ambulance still hadn’t arrived, and Jane Sampson had been very anxious. Talking more with her could help ease her emotions.
Just as he looked down for a mont, the ambulance finally arrived.
After the doctor got out of the ambulance, he imdiately checked Coco Edwards’ condition, then frowned and said, "The situation is a bit serious; we need to transfer her to the hospital imdiately for further examination."
Then, the doctor looked over at the car nearby, turned to Jane Sampson, and said, "You should co with us to the hospital too, just in case, and get checked as well."
"Didn’t they just co in? Why the delay until now?" Father Carter asked.
"The hotel area is covered in blood; there are more and severely injured people there, so our hospital’s ambulance went there first, and we got the call to co and support afterward," explained the doctor, "I heard there were even fatalities at the hotel."
