Compared to Jane Sampson, Coco Edwards suffered much more.
Though not to the point of needing to visit the surgery room, her legs were fractured, and with a broken rib to boot, in the upcoming half month, Coco would have to rely on her courage to pull through.
Breathing had to be light, and she couldn’t set foot on the ground.
"Has a caregiver been arranged?" Jane Sampson inquired with concern.
"Yes, we’ve arranged two of the most patient and kind-hearted aunties from the hospital to take turns caring for her around the clock. I’ve also arranged a caregiver for you, who will be here shortly," Father Carter said, "I’ve sorted out an assistant for you, so just focus on getting so good rest, and don’t worry about anything else. Although I will leave early tomorrow morning, Mr. Carter will stay behind. If you need anything, just speak to Mr. Carter—it’s the sa as telling ."
After saying this, Father Carter turned his head to give Jas a few words of advice and then said his goodbyes to Jane before leaving the hospital.
Father Carter had many matters to attend to, and so it was impossible for him to always stay in Jane’s ward. Besides, with Jas present, Father Carter was quite reassured that his son could take good care of soone.
No sooner had Father Carter left than Director Chip returned.
Upon entering and seeing the man who was speaking in low tones to Jane at the bedside, Director Chip was montarily stunned. As he ca closer and recognized the person, he expressed his surprise.
"Mr. Carter," Director Chip gasped, aware that Jane had a good relationship with Jas Carter, but he had not expected it to be to this extent.
"Director Chip, hello," Jas Carter stood up, greeted Director Chip with polite warmth, and then sat back down.
Director Chip had co back to pick up his mobile phone and make arrangents, seeing Jas Carter sitting there, he didn’t ask further. It was only when he heard Jane Sampson inquiring about the condition of the film crew mbers that he responded.
"Most are fine, but two are still in the surgery room and haven’t co out," sighed Director Chip. "Since everything here is taken care of, I’m going to stay elsewhere for now. Rember not to forget to take out your mobile phone for charging, lest your significant other can’t find you again."
Only then did Jane Sampson rember that her mobile phone was switched off. Luckily, the charging cable was still in her purse. The soldiers who had rescued her had also taken her purse along with them.
"You shouldn’t move around. If you don’t mind, may I help you?" Jas Carter asked softly, his movents slow as he stood up, supporting the bedside.
"Then thank you, Mr. Carter," Jane Sampson cheerfully accepted, smiling sweetly at Jas.
What Jas loved most was Jane Sampson’s smiling face—it was very beautiful, always possessing an infectious power.
Although one of Jas’s legs was inconvenient, he was never one to dawdle. He took the purse, found the stuff, and had the mobile phone charging in just one minute.
After plugging in the charger, he turned to see Jane Sampson yawning softly. Jas Carter knew she must be tired.
She had been filming all day yesterday, returned to the hotel at midnight and then encountered the hotel incident. Now that it was bright outside for quite so ti, and coupled with her discomfort, it was ti for her to lie down and rest.
Jas Carter didn’t speak to Jane Sampson. Within two minutes of quiet, Jane deeply fell asleep.
When Jane Sampson woke up, it was already ten hours later.
