A mont ago, soone was struggling desperately, but in the end, he simply lay motionless in his arms.

An hour ago, she was just a bit tired.

Now...

Hehe.

Jane Sampson collapsed in Jas Black’s arms without any intention of moving.

When Jas Black carried her, wearing nothing, to the bathroom, she couldn’t even muster the energy to be shy.

Lying in the bathtub, she still felt like a useless salted fish.

Jane Sampson took a long bath in the bathroom before coming out. When she ca out in her pajamas, the bed’s quilt and everything had already been changed.

"This face is ruined," Jane leaned against the wall and sighed, "Dayti debauchery, truly corrupting morals."

Jane thought to herself that it was good she had worn a mask and hat when entering the hotel, so no one knew who she was. Therefore, whoever ca to clean was only mocking Jas Black.

"Maybe I took it too easy with this clean-up?" Jas Black stood beside the bed, raising his eyebrows, "Co here, if you’re tired, lie down and sleep for a while. Sleep for one or two hours, and after you wake up, I’ll take you out for a stroll."

Jane Sampson shuffled over in small steps and collapsed directly onto the bed, too lazy to even move her limbs. She glanced at him like he was beneath her dignity and said, "Cover with the quilt."

Jas bent down, pulled the quilt from under Jane, and gently covered her with it. In that brief action, Jane had already fallen asleep.

Her breathing was even, and her sleeping face was serene.

The posture she had when he pulled out the quilt was the sa one she maintained now.

Spreadeagled across the bed, it was hard to find any trace of the distressed, uneasy figure who once huddled in a corner of a king-size bed.

Jas Black, originally planning to take a bath, just sat on the edge of the bed watching the sleeping Jane Sampson for more than half an hour.

This peaceful sleeping face, no matter how much he looked, never seed enough.

She was as important to him as his military uniform had been in his life.

She was also the person he cherished and protected with all his heart.

Careful not to wake Jane Sampson, Jas Black tread lightly to take a bath, got into the bed, yet couldn’t resist pulling the sleeping person into his arms.

Fortunately, Jane Sampson didn’t wake up from his movent and continued to sleep deeply, showing no sign of waking.

While asleep, she naturally snuggled into his arms, her hands naturally encircling his waist. This was her subconscious act even in sleep, leaning on him, being close to him.

Jane Sampson woke up after sleeping for more than an hour, which was rare during the dayti. As soon as she opened her eyes, she felt bewildered.

She poked the possibly still-sleeping Jas Black and asked in a hoarse voice, "What ti is it?"

"It’s not yet 3 in the afternoon," Jas replied, "Since you’re awake, let’s get up. I’ll take you out to eat."

"What are we having?" Jane sat up, rubbing her eyes as she asked.

"Hotpot."

Hearing this from above her, Jane thought she had misheard.

She paused, then asked again, "What did you just say?"

"Hotpot," Jas said with a smile in his voice, "I’ll take you to try a hotpot that Nina Rice definitely hasn’t tried."

Half believing, half doubting, Jane glanced at Jas, nodded her head, but still felt that Jas was probably teasing her.

Nevertheless, she got out of bed and opened her suitcase, rummaging through it, pulled out a pure white hoodie, and then grabbed a pair of denim shorts, was just about to look for a coat when Jas ca over to her and said, "Change the shorts you’re holding."
