Seeing Jane blink her eyes foolishly and stare at him, Jas Black simply lifted his hand and flicked the back of Jane’s head, "What I an is, keep your distance from Rachel Miller, anyone from Crystal Elent Group is no good."
"Are you discriminating against their occupation?" Jane finally felt sothing was off, "Did soone from Crystal Elent offend you?"
Jas Black couldn’t be bothered to explain and simply repeated his warning, "Just rember what I said, there’s no need to ask so many questions."
With a nod, Jane acknowledged with an "oh."
"Aside from a few days which remain for you to film in King Town, in the past, you were compliant. Once you get back to Capital Province, I’ll reward you," Jas Black coaxed Jane like one would a child, only to receive an eye roll in response.
Brooke Black’s associates had obtained the CCTV footage by that afternoon. Once the man arrived, Jane deliberately asked him in front of Jas Black, "Did Crystal Elent give you a hard ti when you went to get the footage?"
"Not at all," the man answered truthfully.
Jane provocatively glanced at Jas Black, "See? People from Crystal Elent are rather nice."
The man hadn’t expected Jane to suddenly make such a remark, and the rest of his intended words got stuck in his throat.
Because he had bought the video with money, and since nobody would have an issue with money, naturally, the person he dealt with didn’t give him a hard ti.
Jas Black didn’t engage Jane in a verbal sparring match, instead, he opened Jane’s computer again.
In the morning, nothing useful could be gleaned from the existing videos on Jane’s computer, so Jas Black hoped to find sothing in the remaining footage.
"Why does Commander Black want videos from so many days?" The man next to him asked curiously after glancing at the computer.
"Because Charles Young said that person had a Northland accent, so they aren’t a local from King Town. If a local ca to King Town, they would have to stay in a hotel. Soone who could easily afford to pay such a sum of money would first choose a better hotel to stay at. King Town has only two good hotels, one is where our film crew is staying, and the other is Crystal Elent. If this person set the eting location at Crystal Elent, it’s very likely because they are already staying at Crystal Elent and are familiar with it."
Jane spoke at length on behalf of Jas Black, who didn’t bother to explain himself.
After she finished, the man next to her seed to have an epiphany.
Jas Black, however, looked at Jane with surprise.
"You knew?" he paused the video playback to ask Jane, "I never told you anything, but you seem to know it all."
Jane shrugged her shoulders, sowhat pleased with herself, her tail nearly swishing heavenward, "I just know."
