William King sat there showing no signs of being moved, instead, he curled the corner of his mouth with a disdainful laugh.
"Miss Carter, the gap between you and your brother is indeed not small," William King shook his head, he could be friends with Jas Carter, but with Jillian Carter, he couldn’t even hold a conversation.
Even an additional word felt like a waste of saliva.
"What, do you think 200,000 is too little?" Jillian Carter never intended to compare herself with her brother. She knew from childhood that her brother was excellent, with good academic grades and inheriting their mother’s musical talent.
So, William King’s comnt didn’t stir much within her; no matter how excellent or good her brother was, he was always her brother, she didn’t feel the need to compare herself with her own family.
"Miss Carter, 200,000 isn’t a small amount, but earning 200,000 here from you, I feel like a beggar accepting your pity," William King sneered, "I have my own capabilities to earn this 200,000, even if it has to be through hard work, it’s at least worth it. I don’t think I have reached a stage where I need charity, I believe earning a monthly 200,000 by myself is not an issue."
After saying this, William King didn’t add another word and directly turned and left the clubhouse.
But still, he felt choked up with irritation, initially wanting to call Jas Carter to complain but, after a second thought, he decided against it. After all, that was Jas Carter’s younger sister.
After leaving the clubhouse, William King directly drove to Jane Joy Studio. Being backed by a big tree is good for enjoying the cool shade; a newly opened studio occupying the entire seventh floor of Universe Building shows how powerful Jane Joy Studio’s backing is.
And the more elusive Jane Sampson’s background appeared, the more it proved that she was no ordinary person, thus William King was even more determined to go to Jane Joy Studio.
Jillian Carter felt humiliated by William King and, infuriated, she called her brother, Jas Carter. As soon as he answered, Jillian angrily said, "Brother, what kind of friend did you introduce to? He’s totally insensitive. I offered him 200,000 a month to be my agent, and he accused of charity. Isn’t that ridiculous?"
After hearing Jillian’s words, Jas Carter sighed, advising her, "Jillian, you should learn to respect others. William King already told last ti, you are not the kind of artist he wants. Nowadays, anyone who truly has skills carries a sense of pride and integrity."
Jas Carter knew William King’s personality well; even 2 million a month wouldn’t be enough to keep him if he didn’t respect Jillian.
Feeling helpless, Jas had quite a lecture over the phone, only hearing Jillian nonchalantly acknowledging him, leaving Jas unsure of how much she truly understood.
"Brother, are you done preaching? Once you’re done, could you find a live broadcast company? I’m not sure which live broadcast company is good. I want to start streaming as soon as possible, possibly this evening." Jillian flicked her newly done nails and chuckled softly, "H brand has new arrivals, I’m going shopping tonight, perfect for a live stream."
Jas found himself speechless with the words he wanted her to consider about not becoming a live streaming host choking him.
"I’ll have my assistant arrange it," Jas finally gave up on advising, said helplessly, "As long as you’re happy."
