"What is she looking at that’s making her so happy? Is it the ’100,000 Jokes Collection’?" Old Master Black casually asked Jas Black while placing a chess piece on a spot he had thought of early in the morning.
Jas Black’s attention had long since shifted from the chessboard to Jane Sampson’s face. Seeing that Jas’s eyes were not focusing on the board, Old Master Black stealthily moved a chess piece next to him a little.
After moving the piece, Old Master Black sat there crossing his legs and watching Jane Sampson, silently praising his younger self for his excellent choice in securing a good wife for Jas. From now on, when he plays chess with Jas, he must invite Jane to sit next to them.
"No, Grandfather, I’m reading about a new drama I will be filming after the year, it’s based on a novel, really interesting," Jane Sampson’s gaze moved from the mobile phone screen toward Old Master Black and said, "I found that the male lead becos more like Jas as the story progresses, it’s truly hilarious."
"Then keep watching," Old Master Black nodded and then urged Jas Black, "Hurry up and play, your lack of focus is disrespectful to your chess partner."
Jas Black then rubbed Jane Sampson’s head and calmly picked up a chess piece to make his move.
However, at a quick glance toward the chess board, the corner of Jas Black’s mouth twitched almost imperceptibly, and then he looked up at Old Master Black.
"You sure do show great respect to your chess partners," Jas Black said as he placed his piece and then slowly moved the displaced piece back to its original spot.
Old Master Black has no other hobbies except for fishing and playing chess.
Having been influenced from a young age by Old Master Black, Jas had beco a master player while still young. As a defender with an excellent mory, it would be a sha if he didn’t notice a chess piece had been moved.
Old Master Black, blocked by Jas’s words, couldn’t speak and was fuming, puffing his cheeks and glaring. After a while, he muttered, "No respect for the old or love for the young."
Jane Sampson continued to lean against Jas’s back, laughing heartily as if she didn’t have a care in the world.
The ga of chess ended with Old Master Black losing. He glared at Jas and exclaid that he was going upstairs for a lunch break, then stord off.
Jas chuckled softly. As Old Master Black got older, his personality seed more childlike, gradually losing the sternness he had in his youth.
Once Old Master Black had shut the room door, Jas slowly began to pack up the chessboard. Then he turned around and picked up the person lazing against him, carefully placing her on the sofa.
"Put on your coat, I’m taking you to see a movie." After speaking, Jas saw that Jane Sampson sitting on the sofa didn’t respond to him. After a mont’s thought, he suddenly snatched Jane Sampson’s mobile phone, kept a stern face, and asked, "Didn’t you hear ?"
"Ah! You’re so annoying!" Jane Sampson slapped Jas Black’s arm and said, "I heard you. Didn’t I tell you before the al I didn’t want to go out?"
Then she stretched out her fair, delicate hand toward Jas Black, pouting, "Give back my phone!"
"Movie or playground, choose one." Jas naturally took Jane Sampson’s outstretched hand in a fingers interlocked grip.
This action made Jane Sampson pause briefly, yet, the words she spoke suddenly brought her back to her senses.
