"With your tiny fra, who could you possibly beat up? Kid, you’re talking silly, listen to yourself, how funny that sounds." Granny Sampson chuckled with her eyes squinted, clutching Jane Sampson’s hand, unwilling to let go.
She hadn’t heard the little lass speak such naive nonsense like she did when she was little for a long ti. It was as if the carefree little princess from back then had returned.
"If I can’t beat him, I’ll beat up his child." Jane spread her hands, "Surely I can manage that, right?"
Jas Black couldn’t help but chuckle softly, "That’s all the ambition you have."
"That’s not allowed either?" Jane pouted, huffing, "If I can’t go after his child, I’ll beat his wife and make him suffer."
"Fine, fine, fine, even if you wanted to beat him up, he wouldn’t dare to fight back." Grandpa Sampson laughed even harder, his entire body shaking, "He wouldn’t dare because he can’t bear to do it."
With the two elders laughing joyfully, Jane also grinned and playfully made faces at Jas.
Jas felt as if his heart was stuffed with cotton, soft and warm, watching her laugh like a little fox, he couldn’t help but reach out to ruffle her hair and grunted in acknowledgnt.
"I won’t fight back." His voice was smiling, "Because I can’t bear to do it, it would hurt."
Jane didn’t expect Jas to suddenly say such a thing. After her initial surprise, her ears turned slightly red.
It was rare to see Jas being so flirty.
She had thought he was incapable of speaking such romantic words, but in front of the elders, he seed to do it effortlessly.
After lunch, Jane and Jas left the countryside and returned ho. Having enjoyed their ti with the grandparents, Jane’s mood remained very pleasant for the next two days.
It was rare for Jas to have a vacation and spend ti at ho with Jane; those two days alone at ho were like any other day for an ordinary couple.
Early in the morning, Jane was dragged out of bed by Jas to exercise in the chilly wind for forty minutes, then they ate breakfast at the community entrance before heading to a nearby supermarket to buy groceries.
Jane cooked both lunch and dinner at ho, making several als that Jas loved to eat, yet she couldn’t coax him out of taking her for morning exercises.
Jane realized belatedly that grabbing Jas’s stomach or discussing anything with him was futile, so on the third day, she put on a pathetic act in front of Jas, sneezing twice and pretending to be sick, which indeed worked. Jas glanced at her and didn’t insist on dragging her out anymore.
As soon as Jas left, Jane stood on the bed, almost fell off in her excitent, managing to stabilize herself just in ti.
"I almost killed myself." Jane patted her little heart while glancing at her ringing mobile phone. Seeing it was Coco Edwards, she picked up.
"Coco, calling so early in the morning, what’s up?" Previously, sothing had happened and Coco had been staying in the hospital for treatnt. Before Jane returned, she had visited Coco, but she had not yet been discharged.
"Little Jane, I’ve moved to Capital Province Hospital. I’m here all alone, it’s so boring. Aren’t you free these days? How about you co to keep company?" Coco’s voice was light and cheerful, "I arrived at Capital Province Hospital last night, alas, I still have to stay in the hospital for a while longer, people here are nearly turning moldy."
