Lucy and Harry Little Money were waiting in the nanny van downstairs, and today, the weather in Capital Province was extrely cold. Just when Jane Sampson opened the car door for a mont, both Lucy and Harry couldn’t help but shiver.
"Good morning, Sister Jane!" Before New Year, Coco Edwards went abroad alone for a vacation, so Harry followed Lucy to Jane Sampson’s side.
"Is it very cold? When I get to the TV station, if there’s nothing important, Harry and Lucy, you two take turns finding a place to rest. You don’t have to both follow ; otherwise, it’ll be too exhausting by the end of the day," Jane Sampson has always been a boss who cares about her subordinates, "If you can’t find a place, go to an inn near the TV station to rest with the driver. Keep the invoices and co to the company to get reimbursed after the year."
"Thank you, Sister Jane. But it’s just for today, it’s okay," Harry smiled, "No matter how hard it is for Lucy and , it’s not as tough as it is for you, Sister Jane."
"It’s fine. I don’t have much to do at the TV station, just one person following is enough. The other person can go with the driver to rest nearby at an inn. Just keep your mobile phone accessible."
"Then, thanks, boss!" The driver, not being formal, thanked Jane Sampson first, as he had been driving for Jane for quite so ti and he knew Jane Sampson was genuinely concerned about the employees’ well-being, not just pretending to be nice.
"Sister Jane, what day after the new year are you starting work?" Harry asked casually.
"I’ll start after the Lantern Festival," Jane Sampson said, "I have a show to start filming."
"Right, Sister Jane, I seem to have heard Sister Tin saying that you have a movie to shoot? What film crew and when is it?" Lucy flipped through Jane Sampson’s itinerary and asked, "Why isn’t there anything about this movie on the itinerary?"
"This has not been finalized yet, so it’s not on my itinerary. Talks are still ongoing and should probably be settled after the year," Jane Sampson didn’t elaborate as she was busy eating breakfast.
This movie was recomnded to her by Shirley Young. Shirley Young was playing the male lead in it and was familiar with the director. Hearing that the director had yet to find a suitable female lead, Shirley recomnded Jane Sampson to the director.
Because of the icy and snowy conditions, the driver drove rather slowly and it took more than an hour before the car reached the TV station. Jane Sampson along with her two assistants hurried into the building imdiately after getting out of the car.
They weren’t rushing because of a tight schedule, but rather, because it was truly chilly after getting out of the car.
Running all the way, by the ti Jane Sampson and the others got inside, her little face was flushed red from the cold.
"Sister Jane, your phone is ringing," Lucy reminded Jane, who was shivering at the front without any regard for her image.
"To call with a mobile phone in deep winter, it must be true love," Jane Sampson thought to herself, not even wanting to reach out her hand to the frigid phone, grumbling internally that she definitely needed to dig out her fluffy phone case to use later.
Seeing that the caller was Jas Black, Jane Sampson’s complaints disappeared in an instant.
She hastily answered the call, her voice full of warmth, "Didn’t you say you would be very busy these few days? How co you have ti to call at this ti?"
"Just a few minutes, it won’t be a disturbance," Jas Black said. He couldn’t resist wanting to hear her voice after seeing the ssage Jane Sampson sent him on WhatsApp.
These few days he had been indeed very busy, so busy that he didn’t even have ti to call Jane Sampson. He would reply to her WhatsApp ssages every night after finishing his work.
But by that ti, Jane would have already fallen asleep, and when she replied, it would be morning again.
