"Did I sing well?" Jane Sampson looked up at Jas Black eagerly seeking praise, her eyes filled with anticipation.

Jas Black raised an eyebrow and humd, "Passable."

Jane Sampson’s face scrunched up, and she huffed, "Passable ans really good, right?"

Jas Black did not answer but instead took Jane Sampson’s hand and felt it; it was, indeed, cold.

"Get in the car, let’s go ho." Jas Black took off the scarf around his neck and wrapped it solidly and snugly around Jane Sampson.

Jane Sampson smiled and reached out to touch the scarf, still carrying Jas Black’s warmth, obediently nodded, and got into the car. Only after Jas Black had driven out of the underground parking lot did Jane Sampson start to feel truly warm again.

Even with heating in the broadcast studio, on such a cold day, wearing that thin gauze dress, she was still rcilessly cold.

"Is there food at ho?" Coming to her senses, Jane Sampson touched her belly. "I haven’t eaten properly all day, I’m hungry."

"There is." Jas Black originally wanted to suggest they go and eat sothing first, but the words were on the tip of his tongue when he rembered that at this ti of the day, it might be hard to find a place for a late-night snack.

"Then you drive, and I’ll check twitter to see what everyone’s saying about Mr. Carter’s and my performance tonight." Jane Sampson, reassured there was food, was quick to turn on her mobile phone and check twitter.
