Five words, spoken softly and with a plain tone, yet they were Jas Black’s promise, his protection for her.
For a mont, Jane Sampson’s tears almost fell from her eyes.
Even she could barely rember how many years it had been since anyone had said those words to her, "I won’t do it again."
"I won’t let you be wronged, to yield, or to give in to anyone ever again."
Those words, which struck directly at her heart, were exactly what Jas had said, precisely what he had given her.
Jane’s nose felt sour; today would probably be a day she’d never forget for the rest of her life. No matter when she and Jas might divorce in the future, she would never forget today.
In the dayti, Bright Sampton’s words made her realize that people knew of her feigned strength, and they felt sorry for her.
In the evening, Jas’s words led her to understand that there indeed was soone in this world willing to help support the sky that was gradually pressing down upon her.
Jane wanted to say thank you to Jas, but she feared her voice would betray her emotions if she spoke, so she just bowed her head and ate her al, eating with big bites, letting her tears flow back into her belly with the food.
After the al, Jane voluntarily grabbed the bowl and chopsticks to wash the dishes, while Jas watched her bustling figure running into the kitchen without following.
When Jane finished in the kitchen, Jas had already gone to the study, and she returned to the bedroom to start reading her script openly. Her role was small, but as it was her first ti preparing, Jane took it very seriously, ensuring she morized every scene, every line firmly, and then, as Daniel Taylor had suggested, began pondering the inner workings and changes of her character in every scene.
Having mulled over them, she took out her tablet computer and found so scripts recomnded by Daniel Taylor. She didn’t look at the content, focusing solely on the actors’ movents, expressions, and all aspects of their acting. She could watch scene after scene repeatedly, continuously thinking and learning.
Ti spent in earnest concentration seed to fly by. If it weren’t for the noise of Jas opening the door and walking in, Jane wouldn’t have noticed it was already past ten o’clock.
When Jas entered, he glanced at the bed without a word, then turned and walked towards the cloakroom.
Jane was lazy, preferring to lie rather than sit, so even while watching TV with her tablet, she was definitely lying in bed.
But Jane’s lying posture wasn’t the ordinary type. She could make lying down portray countless amusing postures that made Jas feel like laughing.
Lying on her stomach, on her side, slanting, and even lifting her legs while lying.
Jas saw her once when he ca in, and since Jane saw him heading to the cloakroom, she didn’t look at him again and refocused on the tablet.
However.
Just a few seconds later.
Jas’s furious voice, including her na and surna, scared Jane so much that she threw the tablet from her hand.
"Jane Sampson! Get over here now!"
Jane was stunned, her eyes wandering, and her thoughts reverting to what she had done to the wardrobe at noon, almost wetting herself with fear as she scrambled over.
Standing in the cloakroom and taking one look, Jane imdiately covered her face.

She’d forgotten - at noon, when Jas had urged her to eat, she’d stuffed her clothes into the wardrobe in a hurry and forgot about it after the al.
When Jas went to get clothes from the cloakroom and opened the wardrobe, wasn’t he hit on the forehead by her clothes?
And most crucially, her black lace bra was hanging right on top of Jas’ head.
Yes, the very one Jas had had in his hand at noon.
