It was as though, from the mont Jane Sampson fell in love with Jas Black, she began to fear the day he might leave her and walk ahead of her too soon.
"Grandma, Grandpa will recover," Jane said, her voice almost breaking into sobs. "He hasn’t even seen have a baby yet. I want him to hold my baby’s hand, just like you used to hold mine when I was little and teach to walk—he should teach my baby too."
"You’re right, your grandpa will get better. He wouldn’t leave so early; there are so many miracles in life, why couldn’t your grandpa be one of them?" Granny Sampson nodded and then raised her hand to wipe away Jane’s tears. "Little miss shouldn’t cry; crying makes you less pretty. You used to say when you were young that you wanted to be the prettiest girl in this world. So, don’t cry. If you cry, your grandpa will feel bad when he sees you."
Granny Sampson and Jane sat in the waiting area outside the ward, holding on until evening, when mbers of the Black Family and a group of Sampton Family relatives arrived at the hospital to visit.
The Black Family, true to form, didn’t bring up a single word related to the internet or any of its associated rumors, but the Sampton Family couldn’t say the sa.
Soone, as soon as they arrived, skipped the pleasantries altogether and started asking Granny Sampson about Julie Sampton’s mistress scandal.
Jane Sampson was about to say sothing when Jas Black pulled her back. Just as she turned to look at him, Jas spoke, his voice icy and sharp, "If you don’t know what’s appropriate to say in a certain setting, then get out."
Old Master Black sat with his back straight as a rod, letting out a scoff, "What kind of grown adult are you, lacking even the most basic emotional intelligence and manners? Don’t know how to go ho and straighten yourself out before coming out here to humiliate yourself? If you’re not here with genuine concern for the patient, then leave now—save us the trouble of having to kick you out later when you spout sothing inappropriate."
The combination of Jas Black and Old Master Black’s cutting words imdiately silenced the lively instigators from the Sampton Family. No one dared say another word.
Those people cast their eyes around the crowd, looking for half a day yet still couldn’t spot Julie Sampson, nor did they dare ask where she was.
But among these people, there were so tactless busybodies who wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to make a big deal out of drama. When they couldn’t find Julie in the crowd, it seed like they stumbled upon the perfect sensational topic to ignite online gossip.
One particularly ddleso person posted sothing on Twitter:
Benjamin Lee’s mistress scandal female lead Julie Sampson is my cousin. I heard her grandpa was so furious about her scandal that he was rushed to the hospital early this morning for ergency treatnt. Despite half a day of rescue efforts, he’s still lying in the ward unconscious.
All of the Sampton Family is at the hospital waiting, yet Julie Sampson hasn’t made an appearance.
Honestly, speaking as her cousin, I feel heartbroken for Old Sir. Raising such a cold-blooded granddaughter, you’d be better off raising a club instead.
Thinking back to my uncle, joining the guard team at such a young age, serving on battlefields, winning countless dals of honor, and retiring with glory.
He led such an upright, honorable life, strictly disciplining his family, and yet the Sampton Family’s reputation was completely ruined by one granddaughter.
May God bless Old Sir with a speedy recovery and let him wake up soon.

The pictures were photos sneakily taken on a mobile phone, showing Old Sir Sampton lying in the sickbed and mbers of Sampson Family waiting outside the ward.
However, this person did seem to be aware of certain boundaries—they didn’t dare take any pictures of Jas Black or the Black Family, since Jane was standing next to Jas, and Old Master Black and his family were right in front of them.
