What he wanted to do wasn’t too hard to guess from the change in where he kissed, starting with her lips, then her brows and eyes, then behind her ears, her neck, and all the way down.
Jane Sampson could clearly feel the changes in his body, which, even in the darkness, didn’t require sight to sense that particular shift.
Jane Sampson’s body trembled slightly, he had never kissed her with such tenderness before, nor had he ever kissed her brows and eyes.
Jane Sampson listened to the heavy breathing next to her ear, her gaze going from hazy to gradually clear.
She didn’t know where she got the courage from, but she managed to muster all her strength and flipped the man off of her.
Perhaps unexpectedly, Jas Black’s body slid to the side, and then his gaze, sowhat astonished, fell on the person next to him.
"What’s wrong?" Jas Black asked, his voice deep and hoarse, so sensually overpowering it was hard to withstand.
"I don’t want to," Jane Sampson said firmly, biting her lip and speaking in a voice that was not at all soft.
"Jane Sampson," Jas Black called out her na, surna included, in a tone as if reminding her, "We are husband and wife, and it’s only normal for a husband and wife."
This wasn’t the first ti she’d evaded him, so Jas Black felt that he needed to understand sothing.
Seeing that Jane Sampson didn’t reply, Jas Black asked again, "Why, give a reason."
Jane Sampson shook her head subconsciously and then, rembering that he couldn’t see her in the pitch dark, finally spoke, "I just don’t want to."
"I need a reason," Jas Black insisted.
Jane Sampson, occupying the night, rolled her eyes hard at Jas Black.
A reason?
Was this guy so stubborn about getting a reason?
What other reason could there be?
"Your technique is poor."
Perhaps the night emboldened her, as Jane Sampson calmly let out the words she had been holding back for a long ti.
With so people, the changes in their emotions can be clearly felt without seeing their expressions or movents. rely being by their side, the changing air pressure is palpable.
Jas Black was angry.
Jane Sampson thought to herself that she knew if she actually told him, he was sure to be angry!
Not saying it, he would keep pressing for a reason. And if he wasn’t satisfied with the reason given, he still wouldn’t abandon the idea.
In her past life, after the earthquake in the ruins, she had teased him that way, and his expression darkened noticeably. Now, she guessed he must be about to explode, right?
Jane Sampson waited for Jas Black to storm out in a huff and return to the guard team, but in the end, she underestimated his patience. He simply turned over and settled next to her, no longer embracing her.
"Jane Sampson, you’re really sothing."
Only after a long ti did Jas Black slowly speak, his voice filled with a grinding of teeth, as she always had a way of shattering a man’s pride.
And he forbids people from speaking the truth?
Jane Sampson muttered in her heart, but even with ten tis the courage, she wouldn’t dare add fuel to the fire at this mont—she feared that Jas Black wouldn’t just storm out the door, but might throw her out, literally.
"Jane Sampson." When Jane Sampson didn’t reply, after a few seconds of silence, Jas Black spoke again, "I never got less than one hundred points in elentary school, and remained top-ranked through middle school, high school, all the way to the guardian team’s university, scooping up scholarships until my hands were full."
"Ah?" Jane Sampson made a sound and then huffed, "Showing off your grades? I’m not bad either! You’re a study master, and I’m not far behind, a top student myself."
