Jane Sampson stood in the doorway, dazed, hesitant to move forward, with only one thought in her mind.
She wondered if it was too late to make a run for it now.
"What are you doing standing there? Co in." Jas Black heard the sound and walked out from the living room, stopping right at the entryway. With his height advantage, he looked down at Jane Sampson.
His voice sounded indifferent.
Yet Jane Sampson’s heart inexplicably skipped a beat.
Her timid heart was almost trembling.
She hesitantly glanced at Jas Black and then bent down and plopped onto the floor.
It was just a matter of changing into slippers. Previously, she could skillfully kick off her shoes at the door and quickly switch to slippers in the blink of an eye, running inside the house. But now, sitting on the floor, changing shoes seed to beco an elegant and slow ceremony.
Jas Black frowned as Jane Sampson dawdled, "How long do you need to change into slippers?"
"Almost done." Jane Sampson looked up and grinned at Jas Black.
She smiled so cutely, there was no way he’d be willing to get angry.
Now Jane Sampson stopped dawdling, changed into her slippers, closed the door, and walked in, without a word, walked straight towards Jas Black, reached out, and hugged him, her voice as sweet as could be, "Why are you back again? I missed you all day today."
The corner of Jas Black’s lips curled up imperceptibly. He resisted the urge to reach out and ruffle her hair.
Liar.
She was obviously having a great ti today.
He saw it on Twitter.
"I’ll let the matter of you hanging up on go for now." Jas Black held Jane Sampson and walked over to the sofa, pressing her down on his lap, he asked, "Who’s bigger, who’s smaller? Hmm?"
"What are you talking about?" Jane Sampson feigned confusion, as if she didn’t understand what he was saying.
"Those n on stage, who’s bigger, who’s smaller?" Jas Black’s voice was tinged with emotion, and his gaze fixed on Jane Sampson.
Jane Sampson knew that pretending not to understand wouldn’t work.
She quickly put on a look of enlightennt as if she finally understood what he was talking about and exclaid, "So that’s what you ant, huh? I don’t know? I didn’t even glance at the stage, so how would I know who’s bigger or smaller?"
Jane Sampson displayed all her acting skills in that mont, waving her hand carelessly, "I wasn’t interested in looking at those n at all. After all, I, Jane Sampson, am Jas Black’s wife. Who is Jas Black? Jas Black is the most handso man in this world. With a husband like that, I’m not blind. How could I look at other n, right?"
At that, Jane Sampson leaned her face into Jas Black’s arms, her voice softened, "Besides, what does it matter to who’s bigger or smaller? All I know is, I like you, I like everything about you, I like all of you, from head to toe I like everything about you."
What turned Jane Sampson into such a charming person?
And what turned the usually annoying Jane Sampson into such a sweet talker?
The desire to survive.
Even the usually stoic Jas Black had a hard ti hiding his inner smile from showing. He was quite surprised to co ho and find such a sweet, syrupy young wife.
"Really?" Jas Black’s voice still maintained its cool and indifferent tone.
"Yes, yes." Jane Sampson nodded vigorously, then proudly took out a "small gift" from her purse that she had detoured to buy from a specialty counter before coming back and handed it to Jas Black, "I even went in specially to get you so underpants. Look, the latest model. You’d definitely look better and sexier in them than those models!"
