"No!" Julie Sampton’s voice, magnified through the microphone, suddenly filled everyone’s ears. Perhaps not expecting such a forthright response from Jane Sampson, which was completely different from what she had anticipated, Julie’s voice turned unusually shrill with surprise. So audience mbers on the ground level even made faces of disgust, covering their ears and murmuring, can the host on stage really act like this?
"Yeah, right, no," Jane Sampson responded without blushing or missing a beat.
Even Sasha, the other female host next to them, couldn’t help but frown, subtly positioning Julie behind her. She then turned to Jane Sampson with a grin, "You see, even my partner is stunned. With a beauty like Jane who looks so good without a boyfriend, it’s no wonder Julie and I are still single!"
"That’s not very nice of you; you’re pushing your singlehood onto her looks," Mr. Humming jumped in quickly with the joke. "But I also think, if you’re pretty, you deserve to be single. You’re already so beautiful; if you were in love too, would you leave anyone else a chance to live?"
"Right, you can’t have everyone stabbing us in the heart every day like Sophie Young, who’s not just beautiful but also has a handso and tender boyfriend," Sasha teased Sophie Young directly, eliciting endless laughter from the whole place.
"She’s pretty and she’s feeding us dog food, so she deserves to be eliminated. Just like that, they should be eliminated in this round," Abigail Chip spoke into the microphone giving Sophie and her partner one more jab, "And it’s a unanimous decision from all us single dogs to eliminate these two this round."
"Forget it; I’m not going to argue with single dogs. Co on, wife, let’s go sit at the top for a while," William Rivers, already eliminated, refrained from saying anything further and led Sophie Young to the side. They then whispered about their cards with Hugo Edwards, who was already seated there.
"The the of today’s ga might as well be renad to ’The Rise of the Single Dogs,’" Mr. Humming laughed so hard that he was almost on the ground, "Now, announcing the continuation of the ga."
"Ah?" Over there, Abigail Chip expressed surprise, "Mr. Humming, out of the three people eliminated, how many are undercover and how many are civilians?"
"That cannot be disclosed for now; it will naturally be revealed after the ga ends," Mr. Humming replied with a mouthful of mystery, his expression so exaggeratedly dramatic that it beca utterly inscrutable.
"All right, let’s begin the third round of the ga," Sasha looked at Alexander SkyShaw, "Starting with Alexander SkyShaw."
Alexander SkyShaw nodded, raised his hand to his chin, then let out a sigh, "I rember complaining on Twitter before that this tea caused insomnia, so, this tea must cause insomnia in so people."
"Alexander SkyShaw’s clue is a bit broad," Jane Sampson took the microphone, cast a aningful glance at Alexander SkyShaw, then innocently blinked her eyes, "It’s the third round now, so I’ll give a more specific hint. I’ll ntion a role na, Lewis Linger."
"Oh~"
"Whoo~~"
"Wow~"
"Jane, that clue is way too obvious!"
Everyone on stage and backstage gasped in unison, such that even those who hadn’t understood the clue by then were sure to get it now.
The tea Hugo Edwards ntioned with the verse "After my flowers bloom, a hundred flowers perish," is referencing chrysanthemum tea.
And Jane Sampson’s "Lewis Linger" must be referring to Earl Grey Tea!
The only unclear thing now is whether the chrysanthemum tea is the undercover role or the Earl Grey Tea is?
The hint from the female audience mber after Jane Sampson was even more brilliant: her clue was "love battle XX."
