When he walked in carrying five cups of double skin milk curd, he was followed by a few employees from the milk tea shop, each holding a large box. Watching their steps, it was clear they weren’t light.
When Jas Black arrived, the director was using the rest ti to talk with Jane Sampson. Spotting the large gathering ahead, the director paused his words, stood up to look around, and asked, "Whose family is this? Such a big parade?"
Is the whole film crew getting treated to milk tea?
From afar, Jane Sampson recognized Jas Black who was walking in front. Hearing the director’s question, she raised her head slowly like a student answering a question in class, and replied softly, "Mine, my family."
The director was taken aback, then chuckled, "Ah, it’s your very mysterious husband?"
Jane Sampson nodded.
"Alright, everyone, let’s put down work and have a break, drink so milk tea." The director showed no sign of upset and instead called everyone, saying, "Monkey King of Sampson’s family is treating everyone to milk tea, don’t be shy with her family, let’s go drink milk tea."
The director’s word was like a call to action, and the milk tea shop employees placed the boxes on the ground, with the surrounding personnel gathering around.
Before buying, Jas Black asked Coco Edwards about the number of people in the film crew, big and small, and decided to buy an extra dozen cups just in case there weren’t enough.
The milk tea shop employees parked the car at the gate entrance outside the shooting location. Two people made one trip but hadn’t finished, so they borrowed a handcart from the crew and made another round.
After exchanging greetings with the director, Jas Black walked towards Jane Sampson’s spot carrying the double skin milk curd, placed it on the tabletop, and said, "Only managed to buy these few cups, distribute them as you see fit."
Jane Sampson squinted and smiled, knowing well that Jas was treating everyone to milk tea to help her bond with the film crew staff. Looking at the five cups of double skin milk curd on the table, Jane first asked, "If I only have one cup, will I still have so tonight?"
"What do you think?" Jas asked, "Didn’t you originally just have one cup?"
"..." Jane Sampson pouted, huffed at Jas Black, then turned to ask Coco Edwards and Harry Little Money, "Do you want double skin milk curd or milk tea? Director, how about you? Do you want to try the internet-famous double skin milk curd?"
"Double skin milk curd!" Coco Edwards and Harry Little Money chose double skin milk curd without hesitation; girls just can’t resist such things.
The director was already drinking his milk tea, and seeing Jane ask him, he waved his hand over there, "I’m a big man who prefers milk tea. In this weather, drinking a cup of hot milk tea feels great!"
Jane then asked Coco Edwards to take the remaining two cups elsewhere to see if anyone else wanted them, and Coco smoothly pulled Harry Little Money away, leaving the spot for Jas Black and Jane Sampson, the little couple.
Jas Black sat next to Jane Sampson, watching her contentedly squinting while eating and repeatedly sighing, paired with the fox ears on her head, Jas couldn’t help but think that at this mont, Jane Sampson resembled a little fox enjoying a beloved roast chicken.
"Do you want a taste?" Jane Sampson offered the spoon to Jas Black’s lips.
Having previously eaten more than half a cup alone that day, and now utterly uninterested in the taste of double skin milk curd, Jas Black opened his mouth and took a bite when he t her sparkling eyes staring at him.
"Tasty, right?" Jane Sampson asked delightedly.
Jas Black swallowed a bite and shook his head, "Too sweet."
Naturally, this answer earned him a glare from Jane Sampson.
