Jas Black started the car, and Jane Sampson finally adjusted her sitting position, lounging lazily against the back of the chair.
She turned off the air conditioner in the car, rolled down the window, enjoying the breeze outside as she played with her mobile phone, humming a song in high spirits.
She was humming the lody of the song but not singing the lyrics, a song Jas Black hadn’t heard before.
Seeing her in a good mood, Jas Black asked her, "What are you singing?"
From the lody she humd, Jas Black guessed it must be a cheerful song.
Jane Sampson mysteriously glanced at him, then laughed, pretending to be mysterious, "Not telling you, you’ll find out later."
Jas Black realized she was singing the original interlude of a movie.
Before her script wrapped up, she had made ti to record this song at Jas Carter’s friend’s studio, with Jas Carter guiding and accompanying her the whole ti.
However, to this day, Jas Black hasn’t had the chance to hear her sing this song.
By the ti they returned to the guard team, it was very late. After taking a bath, Jane Sampson rolled around in bed, her high spirits maintained since they first got in the car.
When Jas Black lay down, she nudged his arm open and scooted into Jas Black’s arms, pouting as she gave him a little kiss.
"So happy?" Even Jas Black was infected by Jane Sampson’s mood, a light smile tugging at the corner of his mouth as he spoke.
"Happy." Jane Sampson nodded earnestly, her head pressed against Jas Black’s chest, "Haven’t seen you for over a month, missed you a bit."
Jas Black went to participate in drills, not to ntion WhatsApp, he couldn’t even touch his mobile phone, so she hadn’t seen Jas Black for a month, nor contacted him or heard his voice.
This young wife’s words, "missed you a bit," even as she gestured with her fingers to show it’s just a little, made Jas Black’s heart instantly soften.
"Mm." He replied and then began counting with Jane Sampson, "Since you’ve returned, shouldn’t you make up for what you owe?"
Jane Sampson opened her eyes wide, responding with a nod.
It took her a few seconds to gradually realize what Jas Black ant.
She blinked, pretending not to understand.
Jas Black chuckled at her, "I’ll count it out for you: Mother’s Day, Children’s Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Father’s Day—four holidays, twelve kiss cards."
As it happened, Jas Black left for the drills the day before Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day had just passed yesterday.
But...
Jane Sampson sighed, "Why should I count Mother’s Day for you? It’s just not fair, and for Father’s Day, you aren’t even a father yet, so why celebrate? And for Children’s Day, you’re already in your thirties. How can you shalessly celebrate Children’s Day?"
In Jane Sampson’s opinion, he’s only suitable for observing Dragon Boat Festival.
"As long as it’s a holiday, whether to celebrate or not is my choice. Why care about what holiday it actually is?" Jas Black’s fingertip caressed Jane Sampson’s face lightly.
Jane Sampson pouted but nodded anyway, agreeing.
After all, here in the guard team, she genuinely feared Jas Black would shalessly demand, like last ti, to use the kiss card in front of so many people.
"Good girl~" Jas Black was satisfied, reaching out to pull Jane Sampson into his arms, his tone filled with laughter.
Jane Sampson snuggled closer to him and quietly asked in a hushed voice, "Jas Black, do you want to use a kiss card now?"
