Having heard from friends that yesterday Jas Carter brought his family to the film crew, and that they had all gone to find Jane Sampson, Jillian Carter took special leave from the film crew in the morning and took the earliest flight back to Capital Province.
Jillian Carter was worried that Jane Sampson would complain about her in front of their parents.

Fearing that this would upset the family, she made a detour to the guard team before returning ho, bringing Joseph Shaw along to accompany her to the Carter Family.
