"It’s good to make him anxious." Mair Williams said this, but her action of making a call didn’t pause for a bit. Obviously, she was worried about Liam Woody too, and she really wanted to share this good news with him.
As Jane Sampson thought, after Jas Black finished the call, Liam Woody had been waiting in Jas Black’s office.
Neither Jas Black nor Liam Woody were the talkative type.
If there was nothing to talk about work, they sat there in the office, with Jas Black busy with his own stuff, and Liam Woody sitting properly to the side, his eyes fixed intently on Jas Black’s phone on the desktop, unable to hide the concern and anxiety in his heart.
At this ti, even if Jas Black wanted to talk work with him, Liam Woody had no mind for it.
Suddenly, the sound of a mobile phone rang in the office.
The monotonous default ringtone, yet for the first ti, Liam Woody found this sound truly delightful.
He almost bounced up, standing there, stepping forward, reaching for Jas Black’s phone.
Jas Black was quicker, reached, retracted his hand, and took the phone away, and then glanced at Liam Woody, saying in a low voice, "It’s yours."
The ringing was not from his phone, but Liam Woody’s own.
Obviously, Liam Woody was anxious and confused.
"Seems like it." Liam Woody awkwardly withdrew his hand, quickly picked up his phone, and upon seeing the caller, said, "It’s my sister-in-law’s call."
Liam Woody quickly answered, said hello, and asked, "Sister-in-law, how’s Alia Delight?"
"It’s just , your Alia." Mair Williams chuckled, "Don’t worry, I’m fine."
Hearing Liam Woody’s trembling voice on the phone, Mair Williams didn’t have the heart to tease him anymore.
"How can it be nothing when you just fainted out of the blue? Let the doctor give you a thorough check-up, inside and out, make sure not to miss anything that happened." Liam Woody was still worried since he wasn’t by Mair Williams’ side when it happened and really couldn’t be sure if there was sothing more going on.
Fainting out of nowhere, and yet Mair Williams told him it was nothing, no matter how Liam Woody heard it, he couldn’t believe it.
Liam Woody was most afraid that sothing big happened, and Mair Williams didn’t tell him, keeping it to herself.
"Really, it’s nothing. The reason for fainting was just a bit of physical exhaustion, been too tired recently without good rest." Mair Williams said this, gently humd, "Your little one is too delicate, and troubleso. I just worked a bit of overti, and he protested."
"Whoever troubles you, you sort them out." Liam Woody blurted out.
But upon finishing, Liam Woody suddenly paused, "My little one?"
Liam Woody swallowed a mouthful of saliva, "What do you an?"
A thought surfaced in Liam Woody’s mind, but was quickly suppressed again, feeling that it seed impossible, could it be Mair Williams teasing him?
But that’s not right, Mair Williams isn’t soone who would make a joke about such a matter.
So, with emotions he couldn’t quite describe, Liam Woody asked slowly, "Are you pregnant?"
"Congratulations, Captain Woody, you guessed right." Mair Williams said over the call, while gently touching her own belly, "The baby is two months old, I was careless, lately just feeling sleepy and have a big appetite, didn’t think in this direction. These past two days work’s been a bit tough, without good rest, the little one protested, truly a good kid who cares about mom."
