After the car drove away, Jillian Carter stood there for a long ti before she recalled who that sowhat familiar man was just now.
Back when Mandy Forest and Jas Carter were together, she really did quite a few things to stop Mandy from marrying Jas.
She had also thought about using people around Mandy, and this man was one of her choices. Jillian thought, if she rembered correctly, this man seed to be a longti friend of Mandy and was also one of the shareholders in the company Mandy worked for back then, holding a significant amount of shares and having a strong say in the company.
Later, she set him up with Mandy. Everything was arranged in the early stages, but unexpectedly, this man had a strong backing, found out about the things she prepared initially, and then suppressed all the information.
If it weren’t for this man, that ti Jillian could have made Mandy lose her reputation without any warning or defense.
Disgraced.
The plan was discovered before it started, and back then, Jillian felt it was a pity, getting sulky for a long ti.
Unexpectedly, after all these years, Mandy is actually going to marry this man?
What Jillian was more curious about was, what exactly was hidden in Mandy’s words, "there’s no regrets after loosing the arrow"?
While reaching out to catch a cab back to the hotel, Jillian called Joseph Shaw.
"How was the taste of the als at the restaurant tonight?" Joseph asked as he answered the phone, his voice carrying a smile, "I heard from a friend of mine that it’s exceptional."
"I was eating alone, looking at a table full of dishes was annoying, I just had a couple of sips of soup, how would I know about the taste of the vegetables?" Jillian snorted, "If you want to eat, just co and try it yourself."
"Alright, next ti I’m free, shall I accompany you for a taste?" Joseph asked tentatively.
"If you want to co, co by yourself, I don’t want to go again." Jillian directly refused and promptly added, "Sister Mandy Forest is getting married, it seems like there’s a reason behind it. Quick, help check it out."
"Why are you interested in whether she marries or not?" Joseph couldn’t quite understand why Jillian suddenly focused her attention on Mandy Forest.
"When I was previously investigating Jane Sampson, I happened to discover an interesting thing. Last year, when Jane Sampson just made her debut, she t Sister Mandy, who secretly did sothing against her. At that ti, Jane was having scandals with my brother, and Sister Mandy probably thought she was really my brother’s new girlfriend, so she acted against her."
Jillian laughed triumphantly, "What do you think, when Mandy marries my brother, if I then reveal this to Jane Sampson and the Black Family, can Jane Sampson and Jas Black treat Mandy nicely?"
"However, dad and mom, along with grandpa and grandma all really like Mandy. If I reveal this only after Mandy has a child, do you think, when Jane Sampson clashes with Mandy, will dad and mom defend Jane Sampson? Or will they defend the daughter-in-law who gave them grandchildren?"
"And what about my brother? Do you think my brother will favor Jane Sampson, or his wife and kids? With Mandy’s temper, if she fights with Jane Sampson, and if my brother dares to defend Jane, she might dare to leave with the kids and divorce him. Yet, my brother has a strong sense of responsibility and a soft heart, surely wouldn’t be willing to divorce, nor to give up the children, then the one to be wronged can only be Jane Sampson."
