Back to hotel, Coco Edwards cautiously looked around, almost feeling a bit paranoid.
"Jane, is it true that when we ca back this afternoon, you still had that feeling of being followed?" Coco Edwards asked anxiously.
If it wasn’t for sothing serious, Jane Sampson wouldn’t have had such a stern and tense expression after getting in the car.
"I, together with Harry Little Money, used the excuse of buying wild fruits to look around the film set and the entire small town, but we didn’t see anything suspicious — just personnel over there or people dressed plainly from the town," Coco Edwards asked, "How about you? Did you notice anything?"
Jane Sampson shook her head, "I’ll give auntie a phone call."
She herself hadn’t seen anyone suspicious, so Jane Sampson was worried that the person tailing her might have strong counter-surveillance abilities.
Such a person is most likely not so crazy fan, which ans the danger level for her is sowhat higher.
Brooke Black answered Jane Sampson’s call rather quickly; usually, as long as it’s a call from the Black Family, her assistant would directly hand the mobile phone to her.
Considering the ti, although Brooke was still doing overti at the company, seeing it was Jane Sampson calling, Brooke thought it was Jane calling to chat with her. So she asked her assistant to fetch her a cup of coffee, intending to relax a bit and chat with Jane Sampson.
"Has the film crew work been exhausting these days?" Brooke Black asked with a smile, "Working every day together with your Brother Jas Carter, do you find that even if it’s tiring, it’s also enjoyable."
"Not tiring, the ti given on the film crew’s side is quite sufficient, filming has been smooth, so there’s no rush; we shoot according to the original plan every day, so the work is relatively relaxed yet balanced." Jane Sampson said a few words with Brooke Black, and later talked about the real purpose of her call.
"Auntie, I felt like I was being followed all day today, but every ti I looked back, I didn’t see any suspicious person. In the afternoon, I had Coco and Harry Little Money use the excuse of buying fruits to roam the town for an afternoon, and neither of them saw anything suspicious."
Jane Sampson said, "I’m worried that maybe I’m overthinking it, but I trust my first instinct and constantly feel like there are eyes behind always watching."
"Just today?" Brooke Black changed her tone, from originally nonchalant chat, to suddenly becoming serious.
"Yes." Jane Sampson nodded, "Auntie, I’m concerned because I t Jas Black in school the day before yesterday, and maybe soone saw us, so they followed ."
"Him? Isn’t he on a mission?" Brooke Black knew Jas was executing a mission for so ti, but didn’t know the specifics.
"Yes, but unexpectedly, I saw him in school just in ti." Jane Sampson was a bit annoyed, "When I was filming outdoor scenes at school, I saw him. I didn’t think he was still on a mission; I thought his mission had ended, and he ca to school specifically to surprise . So that morning after finishing filming, I even went to school to find him."
"When I found him, he was talking to soone. Although I waited for them to leave before approaching him, with people coming and going at school, even though I wore a mask, it’s inevitable I might be seen. I’m worried that if people from Jas’s side really ca looking, it ans they recognized my identity, which very possibly ans they’ve recognized Jas Black’s identity too."
