anwhile, so of the colleagues and artists around couldn’t keep their eyes to themselves, each curiously glancing at Jane Sampson and Jas Carter.
Jas Carter taking care of Jane Sampson was sothing noticeable throughout the entire film crew.
At first, everyone thought that probably Jas Carter and Jane Sampson had a really good relationship, so he took care of her more, and nobody thought much else about it.
Now, seeing these reports, and recalling how late it was last night when Jas Carter was alone in Jane’s room for so long, everyone’s gaze towards the two instantly turned suspicious.
So even had a knowing look on their faces, like, "Oh, so that’s the reason, no wonder these two protagonists are so well together like siblings."
While the director was fuming over there, Coco Edwards also raised her voice.
"Spreading rumors doesn’t cost anything, so you can just fabricate stories at will, right? Last night after returning to the hotel, I stayed in Jane’s room the whole ti. When Mr. Carter brought Jane a late-night snack, I was also there, and I even spent the night with Jane. How did it beco the two of them being alone together?"
No sooner had Coco Edwards finished speaking, soone chid in.
"I can vouch for what Coco said. When the incident happened in the corridor in the morning, I saw Coco coming out of Jane’s room wearing pajamas and draping a coat over herself. Coco indeed slept at Jane’s place last night," soone testified for Coco Edwards.
"Yesterday at noon, Jane felt like soone was following her, so she was a bit scared and didn’t dare to sleep. Last night after I got back to the hotel, I stayed right by her side. Harry even patrolled the hotel corridor before going back to his room to sleep. I don’t care about outsiders; Coco Edwards can’t be bothered either. But in the crew, if anyone dares spread rumors or speaks one bad word about Jane Sampson, I’ll fight them!"
"And too!" Harry Little Money stood up righteously, "Why should Sister Jane be stalked yesterday and scared and worried, only to be sared today as well? Anyone with a conscience can’t stand it! Those saring my Sister Jane are all just jealous of her popularity."
"What Coco Edwards said represents my stance. Anything about Jane Sampson and Jas Carter, I guarantee with my integrity there’s absolutely nothing inappropriate. So, each of you, stop gossiping behind people’s backs, affecting the crew’s atmosphere, everyone’s state, and mood," the director said sternly, "Don’t think that now filming is progressing that I have no way to replace people. Annoy enough, and I’ll cut your three minutes of drama down to one second with only the back of your head showing!"
With Coco Edwards issuing harsh words and then the director adding threats, everyone who had been murmuring quieted down imdiately. People, after all, are practical.
Observing the drama is one thing, but no one wants to be implicated.
After scolding the onlookers, the director was still angry.
He glanced over at Jane Sampson and Jas Carter, then called the two aside to a corner where no one else was around.
"I’m sorry, director," Jane Sampson apologized with so guilt.
"Alright, saying these things won’t help," the director waved his hand, seeing Jane Sampson’s guilty expression and couldn’t bear to be harsh.
He sighed and said, "This is just bad luck encountering such a situation. Coincidentally, you guys are siblings, and it’s currently not suitable to make your sibling relationship public. So it’s coincidental upon coincidental, but we still have to find a way to suppress these rumors."
