Before Jas Black could reply, Jane Sampson quickly snapped back, "Don’t tell you love so much that you can’t bear to lose ; I don’t believe that for a second."

Though they had been married for many years, Jane knew Jas didn’t love her, and of course, she wasn’t sure she had ever loved him either.

"Abandon my wife and run off on my own?" Jas scoffed lightly, "I, Jas Black, would never do sothing like that."

"But haven’t you already seen the divorce agreent I left in the house drawer?" Jane coughed softly and tilted her head slightly to avoid the blood dripping constantly on her face, "Don’t deny it, I know you saw the divorce agreent. You should know that after we get back, I’m going to ask you for a divorce."

"So what if I saw it? Does that an I have to agree just because you want a divorce?" Jas Black said with a cold tone.

Taking advantage of the fact that Jas couldn’t see, Jane Sampson pouted in the dark, thinking even if he didn’t agree, she would still seek a divorce once they got back ho.

Because of the issue of divorce, the atmosphere stiffened further; Jane could feel Jas’s mood turning gloomy.

But a few minutes later, Jane couldn’t stand the silence that felt as if they were waiting for death, and she spoke first. For soone who was never good at small talk, her initial attempt turned out to be quite irritating.

"Jas Black, your head is still bleeding, isn’t it? Could you possibly bleed to death from it? If you die, wouldn’t I be trapped under a corpse? Or even worse, a bloodless mummy—just the thought of it is terrifying," she said.

Even with Jas’s temperant and his current state, he couldn’t help but want to flare up, "Jane Sampson, shut up."

Jas had a feeling that Jane was unusually talkative tonight. If he wasn’t sure that her head was fine, he might have suspected that she too had been hit on the head by a slab of concrete.

Calling soone by their full na was a clear indication of his lack of patience to entertain Jane’s awkward conversation.

Once again, Jane Sampson secretly pouted in defiance but eventually fell silent.

Ti slowly crawled by, and Jane wasn’t sure how long they would have to wait for rescue at this isolated ho stay. Jas didn’t wish to talk to her, and the silence around them was oppressively dead.

In her heart, she was praying that both she and Jas would have better luck. She didn’t mind herself, but Jas’s blood really couldn’t keep flowing. Although she wanted a divorce, she didn’t want to beco a widow before that happened.

She was afraid of Jas dying, especially on top of her.

It wasn’t the fear of being crushed by a corpse; she was purely frightened by the thought of Jas dying. After all, he could have escaped if it wasn’t for trying to protect her.

"Why do you want a divorce?"

Jas’s voice suddenly broke the silence, startling Jane. His voice sounded muffled and hoarse.

Jas believed that he had remained faithful in their marriage since their wedding. He felt there was no reason for Jane to want a divorce.

Being part of the Solar Guardians, he hardly ever ca ho in a year, but he didn’t think that was the reason for Jane’s desire for a divorce. After all, it had always been like this over the years, and he had never heard Jane complain.

So Jas wanted to know what exactly made Jane suddenly propose a divorce when there was no conflict or argunt between them.

After a long wait without an answer from Jane, Jas lost his patience, "Talk!"

"Weren’t you the one who just told to shut up?" Jane grumbled back, although her voice was not loud and it lacked any force.
