Jas Black’s arm holding the bowl stiffened slightly, feeling a bit helpless, but mostly heartache.
"First, take care of your stomach." He had the mute aunt buy so snacks Jane Sampson loved, only to realize that Jane Sampson couldn’t eat them now.
Jane Sampson’s health wasn’t great to begin with, and after this disaster, she lost a significant amount of weight. It was uncertain just how long it would take to gain back those lost pounds.
"Once you go back, have grandfather record your weight. When I return, for every pound gained, I’ll give you a reward." Jas Black brought the soup scoop to Jane Sampson’s lips and thought for a mont before adding, "Clothes count too."
Jane Sampson’s eyelashes fluttered several tis, as if pondering whether she had heard correctly.
"Clothes... count too?" Jane Sampson found it hard to believe, but after asking, she couldn’t help but reveal a very mischievous expression, "No matter what, I heard you. You said clothes count too!"
At this ti, even though he knew Jane Sampson would cause mischief when she returned, Jas Black simply wanted to spoil her, indulge her, and see her happy.

"Eat well." Jas Black urged Jane Sampson, then fed the soup, which was no longer hot, spoon by spoon to her lips.
Jane Sampson didn’t have a big appetite to begin with, and after the tornt of these few days on her body, even though she claid to be hungry just now, when it ca to actually eating, Jas Black coaxed her for a long ti, and she only ate barely half a bowl, with the rest ending up in Jas Black’s belly.
Seeing Jane Sampson still yawning, Jas Black guessed it might be the side effects of the dicine these days and her poor physical condition. He touched her forehead, ensuring she wasn’t feverish before feeling much more at ease.
"If you’re tired, sleep for a while. I’ll go downstairs to see if there’s any beef in the refrigerator. If there is, once you wake up, I’ll have the mute aunt cook so beef broth for you." Jas Black tucked the quilt around Jane Sampson and gently patted her chest through the quilt, soothing her like a child.
Jane Sampson humd softly and placed her hand into Jas Black’s palm, finally feeling a touch of reassurance that allowed her to peacefully drift into sleep.
Just before falling asleep, she quietly reminded Jas Black, "Make sure to add more at~"
Not long after speaking, her breathing gradually steadied as she fell into a deep sleep.
Listening to her instructions, Jas Black’s fingertips lightly touched her face. If it were usually to hear her say this, Jas Black would praise her with a couple of remarks.
Jas Black watched the sleeping Jane Sampson for over ten minutes, and seeing no signs of her waking, he then closed the door and went downstairs.
Downstairs, the mute aunt had already prepared Jas Black’s dinner. Jas Black went in, explained sothing, and the mute aunt glanced at Jas Black, quietly nodded, and pointed outside, aning to tell Jas Black that she would take a walk outside after dinner. If he needed her to do any work, he was to call her back.
Jas Black humd in affirmation; he had previously heard the young man ntion that the mute aunt had a habit of walking after dinner. Because the young man hardly ate at ho, the mute aunt was responsible for cleaning and cooking her own als in this house. Although Jas Black now lived here, the mute aunt didn’t treat him like a boss who pays money, naturally, she wouldn’t stay here constantly on standby for work.
After eating, Jas Black didn’t go back upstairs but instead stayed downstairs, pretending to be engrossed in watching TV, much like a bumpkin overwheld by the giant screen TV, watching with great interest, not even glancing as the mute aunt closed the door to leave.
