"Where’s Jas Black? Is he still out on a mission? Can’t get in touch with him? So how does your family plan to arrange things? Are you waiting for Jas Black to co back before holding the funeral, or not going to wait for him?" Alexander Forest was Jas Black’s childhood friend, so he was aware of the special nature of Jas’s occupation.
Not to ntion, when Jas Black first enlisted, going out on a mission for a few days to a week was considered fast; three to five months weren’t unheard of either.
And at Jas’s level, unless it’s sothing particularly troubleso, he wouldn’t usually go to the front line again.
So, this ti Jas went on a mission, and it’s expected that he wouldn’t return quickly.
Alexander Forest said, "Jane is gone, already cremated. It’s often said that we should let the deceased be at peace sooner. But in this situation, if we don’t wait for Jas Black to return before sending Jane off, when Jas cos back, it would be a blow to him."
It’s obvious to anyone with eyes that Jas Black loved Jane Sampson.
While Jas was out on a mission, his wife had an accident and died in a tragic way.
Because her death was so tragic, they weren’t able to keep the body until Jas returned to cremate her.
Not only did Jas not get to see Jane for the last ti, he couldn’t even give her the final send-off. When Jas returns, the living wife would have beco just a grave, an unimaginable disaster for him.
"There’s still a lot to think about in Jane’s matter," Peter Gingery said aningfully. After all, the matter to be announced tomorrow, at this point, if the Black Family hasn’t caught on, once Alexander looks back, he wouldn’t believe it.
Therefore, Peter didn’t falsely deceive Alexander Forest.
"What do you an?" Alexander was confused, thinking it was about the murderer, "Has the murderer been caught?"
"Let’s not talk about this for now." Peter stiffly shifted the topic, "Are you still in the hospital? How’s your brother doing?"
Alexander sighed, "Still the sa."
The two didn’t chat much; this call lasted less than two minutes before it ended.
Bright Sampton was really tired. In these few days, he hadn’t had a good night’s sleep, and barely ever closed his eyes.
In the minute when Peter was making the call, he unknowingly fell asleep, leaning on Jane Sampson’s shoulder.
After Peter finished the call and turned back to talk to Jane Sampson, he first saw Bright Sampton leaning tiredly against Jane, asleep.
Jane made a gesture for him to be quiet, then gently moved aside, helping Bright lie on the sofa. Bright didn’t wake up, and only then did Jane lift his feet onto the sofa, went to the guest room, and brought a thin blanket to gently cover him.
"Let him sleep here. Let’s go up and talk," Jane quietly told Peter.
Peter shook his head, "It’s late. You should get so rest too."
Peter genuinely felt sorry for Bright Sampton, this younger brother by circumstance. Tomorrow for them, there’s still a tough battle to fight.
Bright Sampton rolled off the sofa in the living room at midnight, with a loud thud, awakening the Old Master Black upstairs, whose sleep was light due to his age.
Bright sat on the ground, dazed, looking around blankly.
There was no one in the living room, but before Jane went upstairs, she left a small lamp for Bright. The warm light illuminated Bright’s side, allowing him to clearly see where he was.
