Although it was just past 8 o’clock, and the night had not yet fallen on the small town, Jane Sampson, after returning to the room, took a shower, had her dicine, and then wrapped herself in the quilt.
Jane Sampson didn’t know how to describe her current state.
Her reactions were sluggish, and her whole mind seed to have lost the ability to think. She lay flat in the bed, feeling as though she could hear her heart pounding violently.
Thumping and throbbing intensely, as if it might leap out the next second.
It even seed as though, throbbing and throbbing, it could stop at any mont.
Although she hadn’t eaten anything for dinner, she still felt nauseous and wanted to vomit.
It was as if a little villain inside her head was hamring away ceaselessly, never resting for even a second.
Her nose was blocked, and her throat was so sore that she didn’t want to speak a single word.
She felt terrible, but sleep eluded her. Tossing and turning, it was the first ti she felt the heart could weigh so much, so heavy that her body seed unable to bear it.
She watched the sunset from the window, watched the fleeting glow of twilight, and then the sudden descent of night, followed by the deep midnight of the early morning.
She lay alone in the hotel room, with no one by her side. The room was so quiet it felt like a vacuum swallowing her life.
Jane Sampson even thought that she might die this night.
She wanted to use her mobile phone to call for help, but she didn’t know who to turn to. At this ti, everyone was resting, and she didn’t want to disturb anyone.
She also knew that with acute high altitude disease, no one could help her; she had to rely on herself to get through it.
Unable to sleep, she browsed through her contacts on her phone, but found not a single soul she could confide in about the distress of her body.
Everyone had their own lives, and in the late night, she didn’t know who she could bother.
Jane Sampson silently put her phone back and waited quietly for daybreak, waiting for the improved state that Daniel Taylor had ntioned might co tomorrow.
At the guard team, on Saturday night, Jas Black and a group of people were playing table-tennis in the entertainnt room. After several rounds, he had driven away several people, including Peter Gingery, and then realized he had no opponents left to play with.
"Peter Gingery."
Upon exiting the table-tennis room, Jas Black saw Peter Gingery holding his phone and grinning foolishly to himself, prompting him to speak up and call out to him, "What are you laughing at?"
"Ha~" Peter Gingery’s smile instantly froze on his face. He scratched his head and chuckled sheepishly, "Bro, have you been paying too much attention to my personal emotions recently?"
Jas Black glanced at Peter Gingery, who looked like a fool, reached out to take the phone from his hand, and looked down at it.
Sure enough, it was related to Jane Sampson.
Peter Gingery had been browsing Jane Sampson’s Monts, and had even left a ’like’ and a comnt on her post.
Jas Black opened the video from Jane Sampson’s Monts and after watching it, his expression darkened.
"When did she go to the northwest?" Jas Black asked.
"It seems like she arrived there very late yesterday," Peter Gingery responded, bravely reclaiming his phone. "She has a lot of script work in a small town over there. It looks like she went to that small town today."
"Did she tell you how long she’ll be staying?" Jas Black’s eyes darkened, "Did you talk to her on the phone today?"
"I made a call at noon, I didn’t ask how long she would be staying though, but she said the scenery was exceptionally beautiful there, and it seems she is staying there," Peter Gingery said and then swiftly ran off.
Staying there?
Jas Black’s eyebrows twitched. Heh, she really thought things through beautifully.
With not much ti left in the three weeks, she could still run off to the northwest. Was she planning to co back and rummage through the trash can for the ugly rabbit in the guest room?
