Jane Sampson gleefully clung to his back, laughing triumphantly.
"She sure lives up to being my sister." Bright Sampton looked impressed, "This is probably like pulling whiskers from a tiger’s face, right?"
"Anyway, we gentlen don’t get that kind of treatnt." Peter Gingery shrugged his shoulders, "My brother dotes on little Jane, but I don’t have the guts to try it."
If he tried jumping on Jas Black’s back, Jas Black would pin him down and rub him across the ground.
Jas Black only let Jane Sampson down on the ground when they reached downstairs, Jane Sampson laughed like an old woman, grabbing Jas Black’s wrist, she stood there grinning widely, her smile so big you couldn’t see her eyes.
"These two kids, they really know how to have fun." Aunt watched from the side feeling amused, it was rare for soone like Jas Black to let Jane Sampson be so boisterous around him.
Before, if Peter Gingery sat casually, Jas Black would furrow his eyebrows and lecture him a bit.
Knowing Peter Gingery and Bright Sampton were also coming tonight, Aunt prepared a whole tabletop full of dishes.
Every dish on the table was sothing soone loved, it was the result of Aunt’s hard work all afternoon.
"Thank you, Aunt." Peter Gingery happily picked up a piece of fish with his chopsticks, then turned and asked Jane Sampson, "When are you cooking next? I kind of miss your spicy beef, tsk tsk tsk, that flavor, it’s amazing."
"Just wait for it." Jas Black replied to Peter Gingery for Jane Sampson, clearly, Jas Black recently was not willing to let Jane Sampson enter the kitchen and exert herself.
Father Gingery and Brooke Black sat next to Old Master Black, hearing Peter Gingery’s words, Father Gingery also chid in, "Jane, next ti you cook, save so for too. I’ll take it to the company, put it in the fridge, and eat it with lunch."
"You can’t forget mine." Brooke Black sighed, "There are quite a few restaurants near the company, but I’ve eaten there for several decades, no delicacy has any taste anymore, the staff canteen’s al every day, sotis I do miss your spicy beef."
"Then tomorrow, tomorrow morning when Aunt goes shopping, Aunt, help buy a few pounds of fresh beef back, while I’m not back with the film crew, I’ll make so for everyone to keep in the house." Jane Sampson wasn’t so delicate, making so food didn’t tire her at all.
Besides, in the Black Residence, there’s Aunt to help her, so it’s even easier.
"Alright." Aunt agreed, "I’ll go early and buy the freshest beef tomorrow."
Jas Black thought for a mont and added, "Buy more."
When Father Gingery heard, he laughed, "Why, buy more, aren’t you worried about exhausting your darling?"
Jas Black lowered his head to eat a bite as if he didn’t see, hearing Jane Sampson secretly laughing next to him, Jas Black picked up a chopstick of shredded carrots and put it in her bowl, "Don’t be picky."
"???!!!"
Jane Sampson stared at Jas Black with a sulking face.
Ugh, can’t even laugh, huh?
"I’ll eat! I’ll eat!" Peter Gingery swiftly extended his bowl to rescue Jane Sampson.
But Jas Black gave him a glance and said to him, "There’s a whole plate on the table, isn’t it enough for you?"
"Good son, co, eat more." Brooke Black gave Peter Gingery a chopstick of shredded carrots.
Jane Sampson’s happy expression hadn’t even faded before she received a helpless gaze from Peter Gingery.
Jane Sampson held her bowl, looking left and right, Bright Sampton pretended to play dead, not daring to et her gaze.
Jane Sampson pouted, directly picking up the few strands of shredded carrots Jas Black had put in her bowl and tossing them back into Jas Black’s bowl, "Whoever picks it, eats it! I’m not eating it!"
