Later, I got used to calling him that way, and didn’t change it. The seniors in the house saw the two were of the sa age, didn’t find it rude, and didn’t make Jane Sampson change.
It wasn’t until later, when I started elentary school, watched too much TV, and felt embarrassed, that Jane Sampson didn’t feel comfortable calling Brother Jas Black anymore.
Anyway, it was rare to et Jas Black. If I occasionally bumped into him, I’d just smile or skimp by changing ’Brother’ to ’Bro’, following Peter Gingery. If Peter was in a good mood, he’d call ’Bro’; if not, he’d call ’Brother Jas Black’.
"She’s using you." Jas Black said to Jas Carter.
"I know." Jas Carter smiled carelessly, "After all, she’s a family cousin, a girl on her own in the film crew. If I can take care, I should. Moreover, her current using of doesn’t affect . It’s just her calling a few tis, making the crew think we have a good relationship."
Jas Black saw Jas Carter knew all this and said no more.
The reason he pointed it out to Jas Carter was because he saw how Jas Carter was scamd by Jillian Carter so badly, and thought Jas Carter couldn’t see through these tricks, thus specially reminded him.
Since Jas Carter himself didn’t mind, Jas Black wouldn’t interfere with him. Besides, from Jas Carter’s perspective, casually taking care of a cousin from the sa family is reasonable.
All Jas Black needed to care about was Jane Sampson.
After eating, Jas Carter returned to his place to sneak a nap, while Stella Carter went elsewhere after eating, leaving her place vacant.
Jane Sampson was in high spirits, so she joined Coco Edwards and Harry Little Money. The three took out a deck of cards and started playing landlord.
"Airplane, I only have one card left." Coco Edwards threw out a heap of cards, glanced sideways, then whispered to Jane Sampson, "I heard from the makeup team that Stella Carter has a good relationship with Mr. Carter. Oh, did you know? Stella Carter’s na is a stage na. Her real na isn’t Stella, but no one knows what it is."
"Did she go to a fortune teller to change it?" Harry Little Money frowned at a card in his hand, yet to be played, "Sister Coco, your luck with cards today is too good!"
"Seems like it, she consulted a fortune teller. The fortune teller said her original na lacked the luck of fire, so they gave her a new na, Stella," Coco Edwards nodded, "Due to her relationship with Jas Carter, the crew treats her very well. Everyone is quite polite to her."
"I heard that when she first arrived, she didn’t look much like Sister Jane, but day by day, she’s been deliberately imitating Sister Jane’s gaze, actions, and all sorts of things, and now she looks more and more like her. Many people in the crew praise her for her imitation talent," Harry Little Money said, "She’s Sister Jane’s stand-in. Her styling and makeup are all done by the makeup artist to resemble Sister Jane. So when she ca out of the makeup room, from afar, I almost mistook her."
"Having imitation talent is pretty good. Being able to imitate ans she observes closely and is ticulous," Jane Sampson said, "In this business, getting a na change from fortune telling is normal. She’s my stand-in now, and imitating is also a work requirent. Let’s not gossip behind people’s backs."
"You’re too big-hearted. Many in the crew say she’s unlucky and are pitying her, saying she put so much effort into crafting the script, initially intended to take over as the female lead. But because you returned, she beca just a little stand-in," Coco Edwards tapped Jane Sampson’s head with her finger, "I’m getting upset for you."
