"Quick, quick, quick! If you don’t play a card, you get penalized double! Calculate how many dis you owe ! Hurry up with the WhatsApp red envelopes! And you, little Jane, a di is still money, aren’t you accepting a card from ? That’s quite a few more than a di!"
"You’re so pleased with yourself, the more pleased you are, the longer you’ll stay single!" Jane Sampson tossed the cards in her hand onto the table, then took out her mobile phone to send Coco Edwards a red envelope.
A glance at her chat history with Coco Edwards, a long list of red envelopes, all a few cents, one or two dis, at most just one buck.
"I’m Coco Edwards, irresistibly charming, I’m single by choice!" Coco Edwards didn’t care about being single; she was happily collecting money.
Jas Black listened to the commotion and moved a chair over, seeing Jane Sampson just put down her phone, he smiled and asked, "Lost again?"
"Coco’s luck is just too good today." Jane Sampson nodded, "Both Harry Little Money and I couldn’t beat her."
Jas Black sat next to Jane Sampson watching as she drew cards again, and this ti, Jane Sampson was the landlord.
Jas Black knew it was best to watch quietly, and since the girls were just playing for fun, he sat there without any intention of coaching Jane Sampson.
There really was nothing to coach; Jane Sampson’s luck was so bad that even if the cards were handed to Jas Black, it would still result in a loss. Jane Sampson had beco numb from losing, and Coco Edwards’s laughter echoed throughout the round.
"You keep playing, I’m stepping out for a bit." Jas Black took a handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to Jane Sampson, "Wipe off the sweat, your makeup’s smudged."
Jane Sampson took it and casually dabbed her forehead before shoving it back into Jas Black’s hand, casually asking him a question.
"Going out to buy so stuff." Jas Black explained, and after Jane Sampson nodded in agreent, he got up to leave.
"Mr. Black has such great patience~" Harry Little Money couldn’t help but comnt once Jas Black had walked away, "In this hot weather, after waiting an entire morning without a single hint of impatience, if it were my boyfriend, he’d probably have gone back to the hotel to sleep by now."
"That’s why your boyfriend broke up with you after graduation." Coco Edwards spoke sharply, "While Jane Sampson got married right after graduation."
"Sister Coco, your words are a bit harsh." Harry Little Money retorted, "You don’t even have a boyfriend who would wait halfway for you."
"Whether I have one or not is just a matter of one word from ." Coco Edwards said smugly, "If I had one, he would definitely be the kind to wait a whole day for ."
Seeing Harry Little Money give her a glare, Coco then laughed and explained, "I’m not targeting your boyfriend. Nowadays, most people are only children; even if they’re not, only sons in the family are treasured like little jewels. Growing up, none of them have suffered, and in this hot weather, few boys can endure waiting there, so it’s quite normal for your boyfriend to return to the hotel halfway."
Coco Edwards’s explanation made Harry Little Money feel much better.
"What about Mr. Black? Isn’t he the sa?" Harry Little Money thought for a mont, considering that the Black Family was such a large family, Mr. Black might have experienced even less hardship. How could he wait so long to accompany his wife without a single complaint?
