From the first mont Stella Carter t Jane Sampson’s husband, she knew he was not soone to ss with, but she hadn’t expected things to reach this level.
Stella Carter had no doubt about Jane Sampson’s husband’s ability to boot him out of the film crew; the director’s familiar chat with Jane Sampson’s husband indicated they were quite acquainted.
Just as he said, right now she was just a stand-in, a dispensable stand-in who could be replaced at any ti.
"Harry, let’s ask around who started these rumors," Coco Edwards tugged at Harry, "I can’t believe we can’t identify who’s been spreading rumors on this small set this afternoon."
"There’s no need," Jas Black said, "You two stay here, and when she’s finished filming, take good care of her, I’ll handle the rest."
After saying that, Jas Black picked up the sunglasses from the chair and put them on his nose bridge, "I’m heading out for a bit; if she cos over and I’m not back, just tell her I went to buy sothing."
"Okay," Coco Edwards nodded.
After Jas Black left, Harry’s shoulders finally relaxed.
"Just now, the way Mr. Black looked at Stella Carter was as frightening as a knife," Harry said, "Do you think Stella Carter really needs to explain to each person one by one?"
"That’s her business," Coco Edwards had no ti to be concerned about how Stella Carter would handle the mistake she made.
After all, all the rumors about Jane Sampson and Jas Carter would collapse on their own once Jane Sampson’s background was made public, so she wasn’t worried about this.
"Sister Coco, do you think Sister Jane really did...?" Harry couldn’t quite finish the sentence.
"No," Coco Edwards said confidently, "Like you, I was worried earlier, but now I’m not concerned. Our little Jane is fine; she’s God’s beloved daughter, and God wouldn’t treat our little Jane this way."
"You’re right, Sister Jane’s injury is already heartbreaking enough," Harry was convinced by Coco Edwards.
During the afternoon filming, Jane Sampson didn’t get a break until around 6 o’clock, and she only had ti for a al before having to continue.
This al ti was specially arranged by the director who knew Jas Black would make sure she had three als a day.
"Where did Jas go?" Jane Sampson looked around but couldn’t find Jas Black, and asked, "Did he go to the restroom?"
"No, Mr. Black sent a ssage earlier saying we shouldn’t fetch the boxed rice. It seems he ordered als from outside; he probably went to get them," Coco Edwards explained, having received the ssage half an hour ago.
Since Jas Black left in the afternoon, he hadn’t returned.
However, mbers of the crew were being called in for questioning one after another, and Coco Edwards guessed Jas Black was handling the matter.
With so few people on this set, more than two hours had passed, and Coco thought Jas Black should have found out who overheard and spread Stella Carter and Jillian Carter’s conversation.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have so precisely tid his ssage half an hour ago directing her not to fetch the boxed rice.
In less than ten minutes, Jas Black returned with dinner for four people and put the al on the table, the aroma making Jane Sampson take a deep breath.
"I brought you yogurt," Jas Black handed Jane Sampson another bag containing yogurt, "Have it after your al."
"Why’d you suddenly decide to order food from outside?" Jane Sampson asked curiously.
