At first, Jane Sampson thought the tour guide’s embellishnts might have been overdone. But when she saw it with her own eyes, she realized that there was, indeed, no exaggeration in those praises.
There were wild egrets flying over the lake, flapping their wings, rising into the sky, creating a sense of artistic beauty against the blue backdrop.
It was as beautiful as a watercolor painting.
Just as Jane Sampson had guessed, Old Master Black and Grandpa Carter and Granny Carter did not plan to walk around the lake. Jas Carter accompanied them, and the three of them found a spot by the lakeside to sit and rest.
Watching the lake, the greenery, and the egrets was quite a delightful experience.
"Grandfather and grandparents, I’ll sit with you too!" Jane Sampson shouted loudly towards Old Master Black, trying to send him a signal for help.
Unexpectedly, Old Master Black seed as if he didn’t understand, waved his hand at Jane Sampson, and said, "We have a tour guide with us and Jas Carter is here too, why are you joining the fun? You and Jas Black should walk around the lake, young people should do romantic things."
"???" Jane Sampson stood there uncertain whether to move forward or backward.
If you’re not helping, that’s fine, but why say that last part.
"Let’s go." Jas Black took Jane Sampson’s hand and continued moving forward.
Behind them, Brooke Black and her husband noticed Jane Sampson frequently looking back at them with a little face, along with Father Carter and Mother Carter, all walking behind Jane Sampson and Jas Black, laughing as they walked.
Old Master Black watched for a long ti before pulling his gaze away from Jane Sampson, turned to Old Sir Carter and his wife, and said, "That little lass is so lazy, she just hopes I would call her over to sit."
After saying this, Old Master Black suddenly laughed again, after having teased Jane, he started to tease his grandson.
"Don’t be fooled by Jas Black’s steady appearance. He actually dotes on his wife a lot. He wishes for every path he walks with Jane Sampson to have a sign that says, ’May the couple walk together for a long, long ti.’ Youth these days call this being reserved, and I think that word fits him well."
"Hahaha~" Old Sir Carter couldn’t hold back and burst into laughter.
Even Jas Carter sitting next was pressing his lips together, barely suppressing his smile at the corners of his mouth.
"But it’s actually good this way. Jas Black, this child, has been quiet since he was young. His mother passed away early, and I raised him myself. When I was young, I was strict and didn’t really play around with the child. Later, when I stepped down, I realized Jas had grown up, and at a young age, he beca quite like , reserved. I don’t think that’s good, but I can’t change it now."
Old Master Black sat there, looking at the people in front, with a kind smile, "Jane, this little lass, has had a lively personality since she was small. She can put on a show all by herself as a little chatterbox. Her personality is a perfect match for Jas Black. The way they are now is the best they could be together."
"Both kids are really good." Granny Carter sighed, "Jane the girl loves to have fun and is a little greedy cat. Jas Black can manage her and keep her in check. Though she’s playful, she is sensible, and Jas is willing to pamper her and indulge her. I see that Jas has changed a lot for her, he talks more too, a couple like them, it’s just right."
