Jane Sampson sat on the ground without any concern for her image, her face shining like starlight as she looked up at Jas Black through her sunglasses, her voice upbeat, "So, where are you taking next ti?" as she held a water bottle that was only half full.
Even though he couldn’t see her eyes behind her sunglasses, Jas could still feel that they were sparkling.
Jas curled the corner of his mouth in an inscrutable smile and said, "I’ll take you..."
He deliberately paused before continuing, "to climb the Great Wall."
Jane was startled for a mont, then, in a huff, she grabbed a handful of sand from next to her and threw it at Jas.
"I’m not going! Jas Black, you turtle egg! Cough, cough, cough! Damn! Why is the sand all flying toward my face?"
Jane didn’t even have ti to stand up; instead, she rolled to the side.
The handful of sand she had thrown at Jas seed to all end up back on her own face.
"Because the wind is blowing your way," Jas finally couldn’t hold back a chuckle, his laughter low. He stood tall, she sat low, his back was to the wind, and she faced it. So naturally, the sand she threw ca right back to her.
"Who asked for your explanation?" Jane fud as she got up and shook the scarf off her head. She wasn’t dumb; did she not know the wind was blowing her way?
It was just that she didn’t realize this during the mont of her angry toss, and now here he was so solemnly explaining it to her. Standing there, doing nothing, not even helping to dust the sand off her head?
Villain!
Jas must still be holding a grudge because she had called him daddy in front of so many people.
She had removed her mask just now to drink water and ended up with a mouthful of sand. She was so annoyed!
"Swig the remaining water, snap a photo if you want, or we can go elsewhere," Jas said, reaching out to pull the person sitting on the ground up.
Caught off guard, Jane was indeed pulled up by Jas but didn’t manage to stabilize herself. She shook and fell toward Jas. After she steadied herself, she noticed Jas had been pushed back several steps by her collision, his eyebrows twisted as he looked at her suspiciously, thinking she did it on purpose. Jane couldn’t help but start laughing proudly.
Serves him right!
Too bad she hadn’t bumped him hard enough to cause internal injuries!
Bla her, she was still too thin!
Although Jane and Jas had entered the tourism zone at noon, by the ti they had watched the sunset in the mountain village and walked down to Tooth Spring before leaving through the gate entrance it was already 9:30 p.m.
There was a food street just outside the tourism zone, and Jas imdiately took Jane, who had only snacked a little in the zone, over there.
It was almost 10 o’clock, but the street was extrely lively, filled with people just coming out of the scenic spots or those attracted to the food street’s reputation. Jas, familiar with the place, led Jane into a shop, gave a greeting to the boss, and then pulled Jane to sit down next to the doorway at an empty spot.
"Rice or noodles?" Jas asked.
"Whatever you want, I’m fine with either," Jane thought for a mont before adding, "You like rice, so let’s go with rice."
Jas’s gaze rested on Jane’s face for a few seconds before he looked away, neither agreeing nor objecting, then flipped through the nu and ordered food with the boss.
Since leaving the scenic spot, Jane had felt sowhat out of sorts. While Jas was ordering, she sat there dumbly, staring into space. Not wanting Jas to notice, she still forced herself to eat half a bowl of rice.
