"Quincy Forest?" Jane Sampson could only describe herself as utterly astonished, "Quincy Forest is Alexander Forest’s sister?"
"Yes, but that little lass loves to stir things up. After university graduation, she went on to study makeup and now seems to be working as a makeup artist," Old Master Black wasn’t very clear on the details of Quincy Forest’s activities, having not seen the Forest siblings for quite a long ti.
"Neither of the Forest siblings have any interest in their family company. Quincy Forest likes makeup, and her brother Alexander Forest has no interest in the Forest Clan Group either. The Forest Clan Group is now managed by their cousin on behalf of the seniors. After Alexander returned from international studies, he established Whimsical Entertainnt on his own."
Brooke Black explained to Jane Sampson, who still looked confused. Seeing this, Brooke Black couldn’t help but laugh.
"By the way, Alexander Forest and Jas Black get along quite well. They both grew up in the great courtyard, and were classmates for many years. One year during Chinese New Year, after Alexander ca back from studying abroad, Jas even drank with him all night long," Old Master Black thought for a mont, then asked, "That was when Alexander had a breakup, right? Ever since that breakup and up until now, he’s been of considerable age and hasn’t dated anyone else, right? Haven’t heard any news about him getting married."
"Right, the Forest family seniors are more worried each year. Not just Alexander but his cousin as well hasn’t settled down yet," Brooke Black replied.
"Thank goodness it’s not my grandson," Old Master Black chuckled, "Now in our house, only Peter Gingery is still without a partner."
ntioning this, Old Master Black couldn’t help but feel a bit proud.
Old Master Black had never worried about his grandson Oliver Black, so Oliver married early and even has a son who’s already in kindergarten.
Jas Black was the one who gave Old Master Black the biggest headache in the entire family, which is why Old Master Black, with his foresight, had arranged Jane Sampson for Jas early on. As for Peter Gingery, Old Master Black believed that after a couple more years, when Peter had tempered his temperant a bit more, it would also be ti for him to find a wife and get married. "Jas Black," Old Master Black called out earnestly to Jas, who was standing next to him, "treat your wife well, if it weren’t for her marrying you, you would still be unwanted like the Forest brothers by now."
The corners of Jas Black’s mouth twitched slightly, and he lowered his eyes to glance at Jane Sampson, who was covering her mouth and snickering. He gave up and didn’t reply a word.
After Bill Gingery returned, everyone moved to the dining table. As he entered, Bill Gingery glanced around the living room and asked, "Where’s the rabbit kid Peter Gingery? Wasn’t he saying he was coming back ho for a noonti al too?"
"He said there was so issue in the guard team, and he couldn’t make it back," Brooke Black answered her husband.
"He’s probably avoiding coming back because he fears we’ll nag him," a parent always knows their child, mused Bill Gingery and then sat down next to Brooke Black. It was only then that he turned towards Jane Sampson and inquired about her health. Hearing that she was all right, he nodded and humd in response, then turned to ask Jas, "When are you returning to the guard team?"
Indeed, Bill Gingery had asked the question that Jane Sampson was dying to know but had been holding back. Thus, as soon as he finished asking, Jane stopped eating and turned her head to look at Jas sitting beside her.
Jane Sampson’s eyes, brimming with hope, were too transparent to conceal anything. With ’afternoon’ on the tip of his tongue, Jas ended up changing his response to, "It depends, might be early morning tomorrow."
From Jas Black’s angle, he could see Jane Sampson pout and then turn back to continue eating her al, letting out a faint hmm that was so slight, he wasn’t sure if it was just his imagination.
