Jane Sampson held her mobile phone, stunned for quite a while. She was very surprised—had Jas Black actually blocked her on WhatsApp?
Looking at the string of small black characters, Jane mumbled to herself, "He wouldn’t have blocked my mobile number as well, would he?"
Thinking of this, Jane imdiately sent Jas a text ssage. Since it was just a test, she only sent two words followed by a punctuation mark.

Seeing that the text ssage was sent successfully, Jane inexplicably breathed a sigh of relief. He hadn’t blocked her completely, so there might still be a chance to nd things, right?
After a whole day of filming, which left her with a sore back and aching waist, she got back to the hotel after 10:00 p.m.
After taking a bath, Jane first checked her phone to see if Jas had received the text ssage she sent in the afternoon. She kept hoping he would reply, and that was why she had been checking her phone often today.
Considering Jas’s usual schedule, he should be getting ready to rest at this ti, so Jane thought that Jas would not respond to her ssage.
Although he hadn’t blocked her, he also had no intention of dealing with her.
Jane was torn for a mont before she sat cross-legged on the bed and made a call to Nina Rice.
For Nina, this ti was nothing more than the routine of working overti. Ever since she got enough funds from Jane to start her entrepreneurial plan, Nina had been so busy that she had hardly had a proper rest.
"Finished shooting?" Nina was flipping through the information in her hand—the food safety inspection reports she had sent for so tests, which she would use as base ingredients and door-sealing ingredients in the future.
When Nina received Jane’s call, she temporarily put down her work and closed her eyes to gently massage and relax herself, "Calling out of the blue, are you going to brag about how delicious those roasted lamb chops you had over there are again?"
"Not at all. I’ve been filming these past few days, and it’s so dry here that I don’t dare to eat anything roasted. In fact, I haven’t even had a single bite of at recently." Jane had gone overboard showing off a video of roasted lamb chops to Nina the day she arrived in the small town, resulting in Nina threatening to block her from Monts.
"Nina, I need to ask you sothing." Jane spoke this sentence while her other hand not holding the phone idly played with the white quilt underfoot. "If you did sothing that made soone very angry, so much so that they blocked you on WhatsApp, wouldn’t answer your texts, and wouldn’t take your calls, what do you think is the best way to make it up to them?"
"It depends on what you did to make the other person angry, whether it was a matter of principle or just a one-off mistake," Nina asked.
"It’s coincidental, but also inevitable. In his eyes, though, it’s probably a matter of principle," Jane covered her face.
"That’s really damn complicated," Nina complained, "Who is this person? A good friend you t on the film crew?"
"No," Jane denied.
"Is it a man or a woman?" Nina asked and then chuckled, adding offhandedly, "Jane Sampson, don’t tell you managed to tick off Commander Black so much that he’s ignoring you now?"
"!!!" Are all lawyers this astute at seeing through things?
Jane held the phone with a look of shock on her face. She hadn’t said anything, so how could Nina have guessed it so accurately?
"Not talking, eh?" Nina laughed, not very kindly, "That ans I guessed right."
