Jas thought that he still preferred Jane the way she was now, able to think of him first whenever sothing ca up.
He didn’t find Jane annoying in the least.
Because he was thinking of sending Jane mosquito repellent liquid, Jas didn’t video chat with Jane for too long—after about 20 minutes on their mobile phones, they ended the call.
Jas imdiately made a call to an old friend. It just so happened that this teammate, who was supposed to be with the guard team, was coincidentally on vacation at his parents’ ho.
"Electric mosquito repellent liquid? Yeah, I’ve got so extra in my house." When Edward received Jas’ call, he thought his old classmate must have so big issue to discuss, not sothing as trivial as delivering electric mosquito repellent liquid.
"Who do you want to deliver it to?" Edward was about to joke and ask Jas who was so spoiled that he had to call at such a late hour to run this errand.
However, he hadn’t even spoken when he first heard Jas say, "My wife."
A few words instantly made Edward choke on his response, unable to say it out loud.
That was a close call, a very close call. Had he actually said it, who knows, he might have just made an enemy of his old classmate.
"Alright, alright, so it’s for the monitor’s wife. I’ll go deliver it right away, personally! I’ll take the opportunity to et the mysterious monitor’s wife!"
After ending the call with Jas, Edward was so excited that he imdiately dug out the spare electric mosquito repellent at ho, grabbed his stuff, and sprinted towards the famous inn Jas told him about.
Jas was the grandson of General Black of the Black Family in Capital Province, a scion of a noble house. As an old classmate who was on good terms with Jas, Edward knew that Jas was married.
But at the ti of Jas’ wedding, Edward happened to be on a mission outside and was unable to attend the wedding; thereafter, he also never had a chance to visit Capital Province.
Moreover, there was absolutely no information about his private life in Jas’ space, so Edward had been curious about Jas’ wife for many years.
Knowing that soone was coming to deliver sothing, Jane didn’t imdiately take a bath and rest. After hanging up, she waited for less than half an hour when her room door was knocked.
When Jane opened the door, she saw a man with a sly grin on his face, resembling a big bad wolf. He seed to be around the sa age as Jas; although his smile was a bit strange, seeing the aura around him, Jane guessed he might also be a defender.
"Madam monitor, my na is Edward Stone, and I’m an old classmate of your husband, Jas!" Edward was quite shocked when he saw Jane.
He never expected Jas’ wife to be so beautiful!
That was not the only surprise.
He had not anticipated that Jas’ wife would be an actor!
Jane Sampson!
Goddess Sampson!
The recently erged Goddess Sampson—how could Edward not recognize her? After all, he was soone who, with nothing else to do, loved to browse Twitter. He had watched the trailers for her show in March over and over again, so he naturally recognized Jane imdiately.
"By the way, monitor’s wife, this is the electric mosquito repellent liquid that Jas asked to bring you. He specially instructed that it’s unscented." Edward handed over the stuff he was holding.
"Thank you!" Jane hurriedly took the item, quickly expressing her gratitude. Because she heard that Edward was an old classmate of Jas’, Jane politely asked him to co in and sit for a while for a cup of tea, out of courtesy.
Edward, knowing what was appropriate, shook his head. He was also aware that it wasn’t right for him to enter Jane’s room at this ti, especially since Jas wasn’t there. Jane asked him out of politeness, but as a man, he understood these etiquettes.
