But such matters, everyone would guess in their heart, yet no one dared to discuss them. Not a single person staying in this ho stay with Jane Sampson was an extra, and nobody could guarantee that a careless guess wouldn’t lead to disaster.
Jane stood in the doorway, her gaze darkening slightly, before sweeping a glance over the onlookers around her. The expressions of the crowd varied, but not one showed schadenfreude.
Jane considered herself amiable and held no grudges against anyone. Although she had been with the film crew for a week, she was always smiling. Moreover, Shirley Young intentionally helped her, and Harry Humming would always involve her in whatever they did, so Jane always felt the atmosphere within the crew was very harmonious.
Yet, she never expected that soone would dislike her enough to secretly throw her fruits away.
"Sister Jane, don’t overthink it. It might also be that the cleaning aunt thought it was trash and didn’t notice, just tossed it away unintentionally," said a girl standing next to her. Seeing Jane silently not speaking with a subdued expression and looking sowhat downcast, she felt a bit of sympathy and ca forward to comfort Jane.
Jane glanced at the speaking girl and humd in acknowledgnt, recognizing her as the maid of the female supporting role, Sophia Wilson—an almost invisible character in the script.
Although the consolation wasn’t very convincing, at least she had stepped forward.
"Mm," Jane smiled at her. "I’m not taking it to heart."
The interpretation that a cleaning aunt mistook it for trash was sothing no one would believe. After all, cleaning usually happened in the morning, but Jane had hung the bag of fruits at the doorway only yesterday evening.
Moreover, the cleaners at such a ho stay were usually family mbers. Who would throw trash at their own doorstep?
The most critical point was, fruits and trash are distinguishable even by a fool; trash might be placed at the door, but who would hang it on the doorknob?
Besides, one could feel the fruits inside the bag just by lifting it; they were not blind after all.
Probably not expecting Jane to smile at her, the girl was montarily stunned. A few seconds later, she quickly recovered and returned the smile to Jane.
A bag of fruits was enough to let everyone know that Jane had offended soone in the crew. After the excitent settled, the crowd dispersed, leaving only one girl beside Jane, who watched as Jane took out her mobile phone and snapped a photo of the ditch. "Sister Jane, are you saving evidence?" the girl asked with surprise at her action.
"I’m not planning to file a case, so what evidence would I keep?" Jane was amused by the girl’s question. "It’s just a little self-amusent by posting it on Monts."
After taking the photo, Jane put away her phone and then turned to ask the girl, "By the way, what’s your na?"
"Mona Calm, ’calm’ as in peace and ’calm’ as in the fruit." Seemingly embarrassed by her own na, the girl laughed softly after saying it, "My parents said it’s straightforward to na like this."
"Straightforward, and sounds nice," Jane thought for a mont and searched her mory before rebirth but couldn’t find any ssages about her. This ant that before her rebirth, Mona was still not famous and was still struggling with minor roles.
