"Whoever did this is utterly lacking in morals! How could they bully soone as adorable as my sister-in-law? If it’s a woman, it must be so hideous, old witch, and if it’s a man, he must be the bitter, ugly guy who was spurned by my Jane and hasn’t gotten over it!" Peter Gingery started spewing insults non-stop as soon as he opened his mouth.
"Peter Gingery," Jas Black called out to the now ranting Peter Gingery, then lifted his finger and pointed towards the doorway, "You can leave now."
"Brother?" Peter Gingery wore an expression as if struck by thunder, "She’s being bullied, why aren’t you even a bit angry? After all the kindness Jane shows you, she even makes you beef balls!"
Since he was family, Peter Gingery’s initial reaction to seeing Jane Sampson being bullied was to imdiately go and complain to Jas Black. Although he didn’t expect Jas Black, with his stiff temperant, to curse out loud like him, he still hoped that Jas Black would at least show so sympathy for Jane Sampson.
Instead, he was promptly sent away.
Peter Gingery now felt even more sympathetic towards Jane Sampson. It’s said that marrying is a woman’s second chance at life; Jane Sampson might not have been lucky with her first lot, but it seems her second chance is even worse than the first.
From now on, Peter Gingery thought, he would never talk back to Jane Sampson again. If he did not treat her better, there would be truly no one in this world who’d treat Jane kindly.
Jas Black didn’t have mind-reading abilities, so he had no way of knowing the multitude of thoughts running through Peter Gingery’s mind after being sent out.
After Peter Gingery had left, Jas Black looked long and hard at the photo on Jane Sampson’s Monts, then sent Jane Sampson a ssage.
Do you know who threw the fruits? — Jane Sampson’s Mr.Black.
On the other end, Jane Sampson, who had just finished her al and was doing her makeup, saw the ssage from Jas Black and quickly replied.
I don’t know, when I got back yesterday after eating roasted sweet potatoes with everyone, I didn’t see the bag. I only heard about the fruits lying in the ditch in front of the ho stay early this morning, nobody saw who threw them. — Jas Black’s Mrs.Black.

Looking at the ’Hmm’ in the chat window, Jane Sampson pursed her lips. Jas Black always had a way of killing conversations; she had a whole load of complaints lined up to rant about, but he managed to stifle them with a single non-committal grunt.
Rather than talking to Jas Black, Jane Sampson felt it was much more satisfying to complain with Peter Gingery and the others—because they would all join her in cursing out the villains.
Even though she didn’t know who did it and couldn’t curse them to their face, venting was a source of joy!
Compared to her previous ancient costu roles, the era drama makeup she was wearing today was much simpler. Today’s costu for her script was a cheongsam. The clothing was said to be borrowed, quite aged already, yet it fit Jane Sampson perfectly.
In this drama, Jane Sampson’s character was nad Jane Blackwood, and as an heiress in a rich family from the Republic of China period, her costus in this show didn’t lack in comparison with the female lead’s at all.
Jane Blackwood’s role had a short romantic plot in this drama; it was her unrequited love for Windy Lancaster’s male lead, Shirley Young—an understated, kept-to-herself sort of love which was never expressed out loud. Jane Blackwood joined an alliance organization as an underground intelligence liaison after deciding to help Windy Lancaster, moving from rich young lady to a spy committed to the cause.
