Before turning it off, Jane Sampson’s mobile phone received a text ssage.
It was sent by Elizabeth King.
Sister Jane, I don’t know if you will trust , but I want to tell you that the whistleblower in that blog isn’t . Sister Jane, I’m sorry that I didn’t do my job well, and thank you for being so accommodating to during this ti.
—Elizabeth King.
After reading this text ssage, Jane Sampson turned off her mobile phone. Although she didn’t reply to Elizabeth King, Jane was inclined to believe her.
Jane Sampson, wearing a mask, sunglasses, and hood, boarded the airplane, asked for a blanket, and slept through the entire flight until the flight attendant announced that the airplane was about to land.
Once the airplane landed, Jane Sampson turned on her mobile phone and checked WhatsApp to find that Jas Black had sent her a ssage, telling her he was already waiting for her at the exit.
Looking at the ti the ssage was sent, it was half an hour ago.
Jane Sampson clicked her tongue three tis. He’s early.
Perhaps feeling guilty that Jas had been waiting for too long, Jane quickly rushed off the airplane after retrieving her luggage, pushing her suitcase as she hurried towards the exit.
No matter how many people were pouring out of the exit, Jas Black could sweep his gaze across the crowd and recognize whether Jane Sampson was amongst them.
Seeing the woman who was wearing a mask, large sunglasses, and hood, pushing a pink suitcase toward him, Jas Black curled the corner of his mouth.
"Over here," Jas Black called out, raising his hand and waving.
Then, he watched as the woman looked around just like the people next to her, with an expression of not knowing whom he was calling out to.
Quite the act.
Jas Black smiled. He was curious to see how long she would keep up the charade.
Jane Sampson’s decision to play along was made on the spur of the mont – as she was running, she wondered whether Jas Black had the eye to recognize her just as Jas Carter had.
So, she stopped halfway, and hearing Jas Black shouting from the exit, she looked around just like the others did.
When she walked through the exit, Jane Sampson didn’t head towards Jas Black but continued forward, pushing her little suitcase.
Until...
Behind her ca Jas Black’s voice, sounding displeased, "Where do you think you’re going?"
Accompanying his voice was the sensation of her hood being lifted from behind.
"Nowhere in particular, I just wanted to see if you could recognize ," Jane Sampson jumped up to snatch her hood back from Jas Black’s hand and put it on again.
"Looks like I didn’t disappoint you then," Jas Black laughed softly, taking her suitcase from her, and gently patted her head over the hood with his large palm. "Even though we haven’t seen each other for half a month, I would still recognize my own woman."
Jane Sampson tilted her head to look at Jas Black, chuckled, and when Jas reached out for her hand, she didn’t dodge it, letting him take her hand. She then boasted to Jas, "With all my gear on, Mr. Carter could still recognize at a glance! His eyesight must be pretty good too, right?"
Although he could tell Jane Sampson was proud, Jas Black didn’t quite understand what she was proud of.
During the video call previously, Jas Black hadn’t noticed, but now, seeing her face-to-face, he realized that Jane Sampson had lost so weight.
"Was it tough filming in the countryside?" Jas Black asked.
"Not too bad," Jane Sampson didn’t complain to Jas but simply responded casually.
