Her luggage was all packed up by noon the day before because she had heard that the people recording the next morning were going to pick her up downstairs very early, so Jane Sampson also made a point to rest early.
But, Jane Sampson had no idea that when the film crew said early, they ant so early that they arrived at the building at just 6 o’clock.
Jane hastily washed, changed her clothes, combed her hair, and, with no ti for makeup, she slapped on so moisturizing lotion and grabbed the luggage she had prepared yesterday before heading downstairs.
"Miss Sampson, this way."
As soon as Jane stepped downstairs, she saw two business vehicles parked outside. Soone called out to her as she approached.
"Please take the front car, this one is for the caran and other personnel. We’ve prepared bread and milk for your breakfast in the car, and we’ll leave for our destination as soon as you’re aboard," a short-haired girl wearing glasses ca over and spoke to Jane, then added, "I’m your logistics assistant during the recording of the program. If you need anything at any ti, you can co to . My na is Helen Watson."
"We are peers, just call by my na," Jane said, feeling sowhat awkward being addressed so formally, so she quickly waved her hand and politely said, "Thank you for the hard work so early in the morning."
Helen smiled, and after seeing Jane into the car, she followed the rest of the personnel into the second business vehicle.
The car slowly set off, leaving the residential community where Jane lived. She unpacked the breakfast from its place and ate a bit, while observing the route they were taking and chatting with the very handso delivery guy driving the car.
"Can we reach our destination just by car?" Jane asked, "Or do we need to transfer to another mode of transportation?"
"No need," the driver responded shyly, "We should arrive at the destination in about an hour and a half."
A sense of foreboding suddenly gripped Jane’s heart.
The guard team base that was just over an hour’s drive from there—besides Jas Black, she couldn’t think of any other place.
Forty minutes later, as the car traveled along an increasingly familiar road and then turned down a certain path, Jane finally believed her premonition had co true.
Fantastic, God was really helping Jas Black. Of all places, it had to be here that they brought her!
But why!
Why hadn’t anyone told her in advance?
Why hadn’t Peter Gingery said anything, and why hadn’t even Jas Black ntioned it?
Last ti she ca back, he had been so eager to take her to the guard team base, and here she was, wasn’t she? What was the rush now?
Because of so traffic on the road, it took them one and a half hours to arrive at the doorway of the guard team base.
Jane stepped out of the car with a smile on her face, while internally she cursed a thousand tis over.
Inside the guard team base, as the business vehicle approached once again, a group of soldiers hiding in the shadows shook their comrades next to them with unrestrained excitent.
"They’re here! They’re here again! Can’t tell if this ti it’ll be a male or female!" Warrior A said excitedly, "The two girls who ca before were quite good-looking, especially that Hibiscus Wood, though she doesn’t look as tall as her online information suggests, and her makeup was pretty heavy."
"It’s definitely a female coming now," Peter Gingery muttered, "There are four male and four female artists in all, and all four males have already arrived, along with two females; we just don’t know if the woman in this car will be Jane Sampson."
