The young team mber looked at Jane Sampson with a tinge of heartache. Goddess Sampton was good at everything; not being able to shoot well was understandable, but what was detestable was that Lieutenant Johnson didn’t have a shred of compassion, actually leaving Goddess Sampton behind for extra training alone.

The young team mber couldn’t find the words to comfort himself or Jane Sampson anymore. In the end, he looked up at the bright moon above and said, "Goddess Sampton, shooting’s sothing that relies on talent. You’re so exceptional; God has given your talents to music and acting. The Lord is fair, so you weren’t given the talent for shooting."
It was already 10 p.m.!!!!

Great, Jane Sampson finally wasn’t scoring zero anymore, with ten bullets she could now hit half of them!
Never mind if the scores were in single digits or whatever, at least, isn’t that progress?
The young team mber called Lieutenant Johnson, and hearing the equally despairing sigh from the other end, he couldn’t help but feel extra sympathy for his camp commander who was desperate for success.
Actually, Lieutenant Johnson had it tough, too, right?
"Forget it, let her go back and rest," said Lieutenant Johnson, hanging up the phone in despair.
The young team mber breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. He was rather worried Lieutenant Johnson would be stubborn, making Jane Sampson practice all night long. Teaching all night wasn’t an issue for him; being so close to Goddess Sampton, he would feel blissful even if it was all night. He was worried that Goddess Sampton, being a delicate girl, wouldn’t be able to handle it.
"Goddess Sampton, the commander says you can go back now. Tomorrow morning, be at the dining hall for breakfast before 6:30," the young team mber said.
Upon hearing this, Jane Sampson let out a long sigh of relief.
"Let’s eat, let’s eat! I’m starving!" Jane Sampson took off her gear and was ready to run off.
"Umm..." the young team mber called out to stop Jane Sampson, "The dining hall is closed; there’s no al to be had after alti."

It was as if a bolt from the blue had struck.
"Am I going to be left hungry tonight?" Jane Sampson was utterly shocked. "Are you guys going to be hungry like tonight as well?"
Guilt washed over Jane Sampson as she looked at the young team mber and the caran, "I’m sorry for dragging you down."
"No, no, no." The master caraman, fearing that she might cry from guilt, quickly explained, "We have food! We have food! We have instant noodles in our dormitory! And we can use money to buy stuff at the guardian team’s convenience store."
