"Sister Jane, eat slower. I heard so people really need to chew their food slowly to eat properly. That would be you, right?" Charlie Peterson was sitting next to Jane Sampson so he quickly reminded her, seeing her really look distressed, he stood up to get her so water to drink.
Just at this mont, a hand suddenly passed a water cup over.
"Drink."
Jane Sampson felt the palm holding the water cup was sowhat familiar, but she didn’t think much of it and took big gulps from the cup until all the water was gone in one breath.
"Phew~" Jane Sampson placed the water cup on the table, letting out a sigh of relief, "I almost choked myself to death."
As she was speaking, the sa hand then suddenly offered a clean handkerchief. Jane took it instinctively and wiped her mouth, turning to say, "Thanks, Charlie! There isn’t much ti left, you go ahead and eat. I’m full from drinking water, don’t think I can eat much now."
Truly felt sorry for herself.
Jane Sampson sighed quietly in her heart, but oh, waste not, want not.
"Ah, Sister Jane, I’m over here," said Charlie Peterson, awkwardly peeking out from behind the tall, broad man in front of him and calling out to Jane.
Only then did Jane slowly, very slowly turn around to face the man standing behind her.
In a flash, Jane almost instinctively stood up from the chair and shifted back.
"You... you... why is it you?" Jane felt her whole body get goosebumps from Jas Black’s gaze.
"Heh, likely because I’m not much to look at but have a kind heart," Jas Black pulled his handkerchief back from Jane’s hand, bent down to pick up the water cup from the table, and turned to leave.
The cinematographer was almost in tears—why did the general show up again out of nowhere? They couldn’t use this footage now! But watching Jane puff her cheeks while eating was just so cute!
After Mair Williams and the others left, she uttered curiously, "That Brother Soldier is a bit odd."
"Don’t keep calling him Brother Soldier, that’s our general!" The black-face instructor tapped on the table lightly and said, "Get on with your als."
After saying this, even the black-face instructor couldn’t help but sneak a glance at their general.
Right, the general was behaving oddly today. Out of the blue, why did he turn-out to be so compassionate and considerate?
Not only did he let Jane use his personal drinking cup that even Peter Gingery wasn’t allowed to touch, but he also gave her his handkerchief to wipe her mouth—an incredibly personal item, no less?
Moreover, this was the girl who called him the ugliest in the world just this morning.
As the black-face instructor wondered, suddenly, a young team mber rushed over and whispered in his ear.
After listening, the instructor’s expression grew even more perplexed.
"Ahem." The black-face instructor turned to look at Jane who was propped by her hands under her chin, looking miserably at the plate with food she couldn’t finish, and spoke, "Jane Sampson, due to special circumstances, if you can’t finish your al, save it for the evening."
This was a ssage specifically conveyed by soone sent by the general, and the black-face instructor couldn’t understand why the general would show such concern for a female artist who insulted him by calling him ugly.
Why indeed?
Was it not because of his wife’s limited stomach capacity?
Was Jas Black unaware of how much Jane could eat in one al? Just now, she had chugged down a large cup of water, and if Jane could still eat after that, Jas Black would write his na backwards.
