After lunch, Jane Sampson returned to the dormitory with her belly full of water. When she lay down there, she felt that even turning over would cause the water in her stomach to churn audibly as if she could hear the sloshing sound.
"Jane, is your stomach okay?" Mair Williams’s bed was closest to Jane Sampson. She raised her hand and patted Jane’s belly, then let out a chuckle, "It’s like patting a waterlon with all that water in there."
"Are you not feeling well?" Hibiscus Wood asked, sitting nearby, "I have a cousin who was born prematurely, so her body was a bit weak. She would often get sick as a child, so everyone in the house was very ticulous about what she ate. Eating had to be done slowly and with lots of chewing. Her body slowly recovered, and after more than a decade, her health finally improved. However, now her eating habits are just like yours, slow and bit by bit."
"Yeah, I used to get sick easily when I was a child, so my family always monitored how fast I ate. Now I’m just used to it," Jane Sampson sighed, "How can you all manage to change your eating speed so quickly, eating that fast?"
"Eating quickly can make the stomach feel uncomfortable, and you also feel full quicker," Hibiscus Wood rubbed her stomach, "The last few bites of the al, I pretty much had to rely on willpower to finish."
"I feel sorry for you," Jane Sampson said.
"I feel sorry for myself too," Mair Williams sighed, "I’ve been shouting all morning, my throat is nearly exploding, I need to bring more water to drink this afternoon."
"The afternoon training shouldn’t be too terrible," Jane Sampson thought, the black-face instructor seed like a decent person, probably not too harsh.
However, after spending the afternoon, Jane Sampson realized how naive she had been!
As soon as they arrived at the gathering field in the afternoon, there were already many team mbers assembled there.
So their mission for the afternoon was to train alongside this group of team mbers!
To train together, in essence, ant that they were trained exactly how the team mbers were trained!
By the ti the afternoon training was over, not only were the four girls including Jane Sampson exhausted, but even Hugo Edwards and the boys were trained to a point of collapse.
It was only after experiencing this afternoon that everyone realized there was a kind of tiredness where you couldn’t even drink a sip of soup and only wanted water. But having tasted the pangs of hunger last night, they still forced themselves to eat a little.
During the al, Charlotte Miller and Hibiscus Wood actually burst into tears, sobbing as they stuffed food into their mouths. Tears that had not yet had a chance to be summoned were wiped away with raised hands or they fell into the food and were swallowed back down.
The high-intensity training made their hands shake even when holding chopsticks, as if the usually easy-to-lift stuff was now heavy as lead.
This kind of training, although it only lasted one afternoon, was found to be incomparably more exhausting than a day’s work for the artists, even without any breaks.
When Jane Sampson finally lay in bed after taking a shower, there was only one thought in her mind.
So this is what Jas Black does every day, day after day, year after year without a day of weariness, always maintaining their best condition, their optimal abilities, ready to face any sudden occurrences and protect civilians like them.
And Peter Gingery, always smiling, was actually enduring such hardships every single day during his ti in the guard team.
It turns out, the training she experienced as a child at the guard team was nothing at all.
